📅 When: This Saturday - 11th January 2025
🕙 Time: 10 AM - 2 PM

🌿✨ Starting 2025 strong with an amazing Volunteer Conservation Day! ✂️💪

Our incredible team – Izzi, Trevor, Sam, Simone, Sylvi, Ron, John, Jo, Liz, Stephen, and Annabel – worked hard to clear overhanging branches from the eastern woodland paths, making them fully accessible for everyone to enjoy. 🪚🌳

John and Jo repaired the deer fencing at the right-of-way gates, securing wires back to the posts to help protect our precious woodland. Meanwhile, Brian kept us warm with a roaring fire 🔥 and got busy chopping wood and kindling to prep for the season.

A huge thank you to Izzi for organising the tea break and Brian for the delicious cake 🍰 – the perfect recharge! ☕ And let’s not forget wrapping up the day by organising the container and getting everything ready for an exciting year ahead.

Here’s to teamwork, conservation, and a thriving woodland in 2025! 🌳💚

With its friendly demeanour and curiosity, the Robin is a favourite among birdwatchers and is easily spotted year-round. 🪶

Our 44-acre site is a haven for wildlife, featuring native woodlands, chalk grasslands, wildflower meadows, hedgerows, and a pond—all vital ecosystems supporting countless species. This beautiful space also offers a place for the community to explore, learn, and appreciate nature through our events & activities (or just by enjoying a peaceful walk!).

What can you do as a volunteer?
From practical conservation tasks to behind-the-scenes support, there’s a role for everyone!
🌱 Outdoor activities include:
• Tree care in our allotment nursery bed

• Habitat management & conservation tasks
• Maintenance work across the site

🌟 Behind-the-scenes roles include:
• Administration & office support
• Social media & website management
• Event planning & PR
• Fundraising, legal advice, & financial support

When can you help?
• Monday Workdays: 10am-1pm weekly. Tasks include tree care, mulching, repairs, & nursery maintenance.
• Saturday Workdays: 2nd Saturday of the month, 1:15-3:30pm. Tasks vary with the seasons.
• Corporate Groups: Looking for team-building opportunities? We can tailor volunteer days for your business, including activities during our Schools Planting Weeks in late November/early December.

📅 Schools’ Planting Weeks: Help us welcome thousands of local students as they plant trees, creating lasting connections to nature.
