📍How to get to Jubilee Park:

- Full address: Platinum Jubilee Lakeside Park, Ebbsfleet Valley, Swanscombe, DA10 1EU

-We highly recommend walking, cycling, or travelling in by public transport. Bus routes include the Fastrack E bus to Cherry Orchard, and the CG1 bus to Castle Hill Community Centre

-Where possible, please avoid driving to the park as there is extremely limited parking. If you do drive in, please car share where possible, and park in the Castle Hill Community Centre car park

⏰ Timings:
The festival starts at 2pm and finishes at 6pm

Writing for Wellbeing: Food, Family & Memories

We are delighted to have been invited to run our Writing for Wellbeing sessions at the Mouthful Food Festival - our theme is DELICIOUS!

Saturday 20th June | Jubilee Park, Castle Hill (DA10 1EU)

FREE 45 minute workshops:

What is it about food that brings people together? The aroma of a favourite recipe, family gathered around a table, a meal shared with friends, or a treasured memory passed down through generations.

Join us for a relaxed and uplifting Writing for Wellbeing workshop where we'll explore beautiful food-inspired poetry and use creative writing prompts to celebrate the stories, memories and emotions that food can evoke.

Whether you're an experienced writer or have never written a poem before, this welcoming session is designed to spark creativity, connection and reflection.

Together we'll:
🍓 Explore inspiring food poems
🍞 Reflect on favourite meals, traditions and memories
☕ Use simple writing prompts to create our own pieces
❤️ Share stories, laughter and the joy of gathering around the table

No writing experience is needed, just bring your curiosity and love of food.

All workshops are FREE, and there will be plenty of incredible activities and experiences for the whole family throughout the day.

Looking for something to do tonight? Aero is hosting a live music & comedy evening 🎶

An intimate evening at Aero, bringing together live music and stand-up comedy in a uniquely personal Fringe experience.

🎤 Featuring singer-songwriter Sophie Benfold, whose heartfelt and emotive sound is defined by honest songwriting and a warm connection with audiences. An emerging independent artist with a growing reputation, Sophie’s music explores vulnerability and feeling with sincerity and depth.

🎭 The evening also features comedian Phil Green with his latest work-in-progress show, “The Boy Who Nearly Grew Up”. A sharp, honest and hilariously self-aware set about clinging to youth (minus the regrets he’s willing to admit). As heard on BBC Radio 4, Phil has built a huge following online and on stage, with multiple sold-out Edinburgh Fringe runs, UK tours, and acclaimed performances including Soho Theatre.

Expect an intimate night of stories, songs, and laughter at one of the Fringe’s most atmospheric small venues. ☕
