Ampthill Rotary Club brings you an amazing performance of ‘The Essence of Audrey’. A delightful exploration of the reality behind Audrey Hepburn’s seemingly idyllic life. Helen Anker sensitively portrays the modest actress and UNICEF Ambassador in a funny and moving depiction of Audrey’s rise to fame and time in the spotlight.
In this remarkable interpretation, Helen shares Audrey’s successes and failures, triumph and disappointments, finding a voice for the icon that was Audrey Hepburn. Don’t miss it.

Congratulations to Georgina for winning the Ampthill Rotary Easter bunny competition. Can you believe there were 436 eggs?? Georgina guessed 300 eggs and that was the nearest answer.
Georgina is going to have to hide her prize from her two brothers!
Thanks to everyone who entered the competition and supported Ampthill Rotary Club‘s work in the community. Pictured with Georgina are Roy Tebbutt and Hazel Cannon who had fun organising and counting.

A great night at WhiteHart in Ampthill with Camilla King, High Sheriff of Bedfordshire. What a commitment and great work for the community and for charity. Thank you, Camilla.
Camilla gave Kieran Wheelan (our latest member) his new badge😃 and our monthly raffle for End Polio Now bought 780 vaccines. That’s another step towards Rotary’s campaign to end this disease and 780 families will sleep safer because their child has been vaccinated.

Ampthill Rotary Club are very proud of Gabriella Painter who was Ampthill’s representative at the Beds, Herts, & Bucks district 1260 Young Chef competition on Saturday. Her chicken pie was delicious and the strawberry pannacotta was historic. Sadly, she was pipped at the post but she’s already planning for next year.
A huge thank you to Steve Barringer of Eileen’s restaurant in Ampthill. His masterclass session with Gabriella took her menu to another level and really inspired her. Steve’s support for the competition is much appreciated. His judging, along with the great actor, Robert Daws, helped inspire all the Ampthill contestants to greater heights in their cooking. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

8 students ready to do their very best at Ampthill and District Rotary Club’s heat. The winner will go onto the next stage in the Rotary International Young Chef final.
