The CSHT Checklist:
pre application preparation for CSHT on Common Land

It is fantastic news that the RPA are trialling the application process during the autumn to enable Common Land to enter CSHT agreements from 2027. However, agreements for Common Land are complex and require significant preparatory work.

This webinar will help you to consider what will be needed, including PA1 and PA2 studies, Section 38 Consents for fencing and NE pre application advice as well as potential timelines. The webinar will be recorded and Q & A shared with all who register a place.

Whether you are a Commons Association considering entering CSHT or a professional supporting a Common Land application, this webinar will provide a useful overview of the process and the preparation required.

Are you great with numbers, organisation and keeping things running smoothly? We’re looking for our next Finance & Administration Officer to join our friendly team. 💚

This is a varied, flexible part-time role (22.5 hours / 0.6 FTE), with up to two days a week based in our Penrith office.

You’ll play a key role supporting our staff and trustee team across:
💷 Payroll coordination & financial administration
📋 Organisational operations
🌱 Project support
🤝 Helping our small team deliver even more for people and nature

Our work spans some of England’s most iconic and precious landscapes — including the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, New Forest and Dartmoor — helping to conserve the cultural landscapes of commoning while enhancing the natural assets of Common Land for everyone.

💰 £27,000–£37,000 FTE (dependent on experience)
📍 Penrith / flexible hybrid working
⏰ 22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE)
📅 Applications close: 13 September 2026
