🌍 ONE WORLD 2026 – THANK YOU! 🌍

What a morning! ❤️

Yesterday, Alsager Civic was buzzing with life, enthusiasm and colour as we came together to celebrate the many different cultures and communities around us.

We had some fantastic countries showcasing their cultures, traditions and food, plenty of fun to be had and some wonderful performances from our young people. It really was a brilliant morning.

One World is a volunteer-run event, so we are incredibly grateful for all the donations and support we received. Your generosity will help us to continue putting this event on in the future.

A huge thank you to our Tangent members who helped make the morning happen; from setting everything up and running the event, to keeping the kitchen going and selling the raffle tickets. We couldn’t do it without you. ❤️

And finally, thank you to everyone who came along and supported One World. Your enthusiasm and support made the morning what it was.

Here are just a few photos from a wonderful morning… 📸🌍

Culture. Connection. Celebration.

🎉 Congratulations to our Tangent member Rose on Rose's Refills winning *Small Business of the Month!* 🏆👏🏼 So well deserved! 💕

I was so proud to present Rose's Refills with my first Small Business of the Month Award! 🌟

Alongside running her shop, Rose is involved in local schools and community initiatives such as the upcoming Alsager One World Festival. It was great to see first-hand her outstanding customer service, affordability, and a strong commitment to sustainability.

Congratulations, Rose, on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you for championing sustainable shopping that's accessible to all. 🌿💚

We kicked off the month at the Alsager Carnival, where our tea tent and tombola were a huge success. Thank you to everyone who came along to support us, and to everyone who donated prizes – your generosity helped make it such a wonderful day.

Our June meeting saw us enjoy a brilliant Car Treasure Hunt 🪎expertly organised by Katy Lawless. From discovering hidden local gems to enjoying the sunshine on The Cloud (and a fantastic buffet afterwards!), it was an evening full of fun, laughter and a little healthy competition. Congratulations to our winning Green Team! 🏆💚

We rounded off the month with a fabulous weekend at the Northern Regional Lunch, where we were inspired by the incredible Jasmine Harrison and enjoyed catching up with Tangent friends old and new. Congratulations too to all our lucky prize winners! ⭐️

Thank you to everyone who helped make June such a memorable month. Here's to more friendship, fun and laughter in July! 💙

Tonight, Alsager Tangent were delighted to present a cheque for £2000 to our Past Chairman Helen’s chosen charity for the 25/26 year, St Luke's Cheshire Hospice

We were pleased to welcome Rachel, a representative from St Luke’s, who gave us a really interesting talk about the incredible work they do within our community. It was wonderful to learn more about how St Luke’s is so much more than just a hospice - from respite care and art therapy, to their network of charity shops and the many ways they support patients and families.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising throughout the year and helped make this donation possible 💙
