A reminder that many of our groups aren't meeting this week due to the bank holiday and our volunteers having children returning to and starting school. Please join us in praying for all those starting new chapters this week or returning to routines. 🙏🏻

We had a fantastic week last week at our Summer Holiday at Home.

Bingo, crafts, quiz and of course, the wonderful, very talented Harmonia.

After discussion, we have decided to cancel our planned fish and chip lunch and church service tomorrow due to the warm weather forecast.

The service will now take place on Wednesday 26th August at 1.30pm.

We look forward to seeing you all at our Holiday at Home on Monday.

Coming to you from sunny Minehead.

A reminder that our Place of Welcome, Tuesday Coffee Morning and Cue and Brew are closed this week due to certain people swanning off on holiday! 🤭

I am not due back in the office until Wednesday which is supposed to be Fish and Chip Lunch followed by our church service but given the forecast temperatures of in excess of 30° on Wednesday, I will keep a close eye on it and make a decision tomorrow evening on whether or not to open and let people know both on Facebook and by telephone on Tuesday.

Last time we had such warm temperatures, attendance was very low and it became quite uncomfortable. As always, the safety and well-being of our guests and volunteers will be the top priority.

If we do close, our Church Service will be moved to another Wednesday later in the month! 😊

Snakes, tarantulas and a grumpy chameleon?

Can only mean one thing? Mo, from Animals In Hands and his friends came back once again for our Holiday at Home programme!

Most people were very brave, especially with the tarantula, we'll leave you to look through the photos to spot who wasn't quite as brave! 😂

Craft Morning today and we created some rather beautiful lanterns. Thank you to Elaine, Helen and Beth for their creative expertise.

Then, we enjoyed homemade soup and rolls before testing our brains with Dave's quiz. 🫣 (We weren't competitive at all!)

We are looking forward to day three tomorrow, a slap up meal by Mary and Mike then Animals in Hands with Mo at 1.30pm.
