What a great time we had last weekend in Marlborough for our away concert!

Not only do we love to perform, but we always enjoy getting time to catch up beyond the 20 minute coffee break in rehearsals! ☕️

Thank you to St Peter’s for hosting us and for the opportunity to sing in such a beautiful church 🎶🔔

Looking for a concert a bit closer to home? Dog lovers especially should keep their eyes peeled for details of our next performance where we’ll be raising money for Guide Dogs for the Blind!

SONGS of HOPE. Our concert at St Nicholas Church, Alcester was essentially one of optimism. Optimism for our own, and our children’s lives but also hope for the world, which as we all know is currently very troubled. Well known love songs, Unchained Melody, Close to You and I Believe delighted the audience with quote, unquote ‘beautiful harmonies and varied arrangements of otherwise well known songs’. ‘Both haunting and moving at the same time,’ was another visitor’s take of our first performance of Rutter’s ‘Ukrainian Prayer’ written by the maestro in 2022 in response to the war in Ukraine. He uses a simple, but deeply poignant melody and arranges it for full choral voices. St Nicholas Church with its gorgeous acoustic left everyone moved. The next time we sing locally won’t be until October, when we are in Pershore singing for Guide Dog’s for the Blind, on the 24th at the Number 8 Arts Centre. More details on our website www.tarantara.org.uk.
Before then we are travelling to Marlborough in September for our annual ‘away date’ !
If you enjoy singing and think you’d enjoy singing with others, come and visit us at a rehearsal in Cookhill Village Hall. Check us out! Details from John Hyde. Email him on [email protected]

Songs of Hope!
We all need hope, in all its forms. Choral gems by Rutter, Dilworth and Narverud join beloved anthems from Fleetwood Mac, Louis Armstrong and shows like the Wizard of Oz, all with the common theme of looking to a better future! Tickets available here:

Another fabulous concert, this time at Ombersley in Worcestershire where we were raising funds for the upkeep of St Andrew’s Church, specifically for the installation of a proper ramp to give access at the West door. It has been several years since we were last here, so many people were experiencing a performance from Tarantara for the first time. Some of the comments from the audience: ‘We loved the variety and mixture of songs’, ‘The ladies looked lovely in their dresses, very professional, and the atmosphere was lovely’. We hope very much that people may come again. Our next concert, closer to home in Alcester at St Nicholas Church is on Saturday 13 June 2026. For tickets and more information go to: www.tarantara.org.uk.
