Huge thanks to Karen from Seasearch Orkney and Shetland for coming along on a blustery evening and teaching our Guides about marine life.

They loved identifying things on the beach and learning about how collecting data on their beach finds can support marine conservation.

As always, we were very proud of our girls for asking such insightful questions (and no complaints about the weather!)

Thank you to Betty and Ray of Michaelswood Aith for keeping the polytunnel open for our Rainbows visit. The girls had a lovely evening exploring the wood and enjoying the spring colours. 😍

Our 1st Aith Rainbows, Brownies and Guides were proud to join the wider Aith community for this year’s Voar Redd Up. 🌍

Volunteers turned out in fantastic numbers to help clean our beaches, verges and streets, and our girls were right at the heart of it. Their enthusiasm, teamwork and dedication were brilliant to see – they truly made a difference!

Here’s hoping we can all help keep our neighbourhood clean and beautiful.

What a privilege it’s been to spend five days watching these incredible young ladies grow, express themselves, embrace adventure, conquer fears, and build their confidence.

A huge thank you to PGL Dalguise for providing such fantastic activities and unforgettable experiences. We’re also so grateful to NorthLink Ferries for their generous sponsorship, as well as the Aith Charity Shop, Lerwick Tesco, and Lerwick Coop for supporting our fundraising efforts.

And to our wonderful community—thank you for every donation, every bit of support, and for helping make this amazing trip possible for our girls. 💙

Happy Thinking Day!

1st Aith held our celebrations yesterday at the West Mainland Leisure Centre celebrating with our friends. Many thanks to Active Schools for funding table tennis, climbing and fencing activities! Sharing new experiences with friends is what Girlguiding, and Thinking Day, is all about.

Today marks 100 years of World Thinking Day 💙

Since 1926 Girl Guides and Girl Scouts all over the world have come together to celebrate international friendship.

There are so many amazing events happening across Scotland and we hope all our members have a great time celebrating!

We’ll be sharing as much as we can on our stories so make sure to tag us and let us know what you are up to.

This wonderful bunch are on a final push to raise funds for their next adventure to PGL Dalguise.

Today we are bag packing in Co-op Lerwick. We are extra grateful because we are already beneficiaries of Co-op’s membership causes.

Thank you to the Co-op and the individuals who support us for helping girls access adventure, build confidence and make memories.
