We were back up St George Road today, just 11 days since our last pick. We collected 3 big bags of plastic bottles, packaging and more. We also found 4 empty Vodka bottles and cider bottles. The mind boggles. We found a nice bench to rest half way, it was a bit warm up there today.

Some of the pickers did a roadside pick yesterday up St George Road from Brynhyfryd Grove to the Kinspa hotel.
We filled two big bags with

65 plastic bottles
125 cans
Dozens of sandwich wrappers
Plastic bags
Glass bottles
Mcdonalds packaging
Costa coffee cups
Starbucks cups
Lots of empty cake/cookie wrappers

We also found lots of fabric duster type cloths, dozens of bottle caps, and empty dog poo bags.

Seems people buy lunch in Abergele eat in the car and chuck the rubbish out of the window. If this is you, what do you think will happen to it? Have a word with yourselves and take your rubbish home.

There are times when we despair.

It was a wild and windy morning down at Pensarn today. Litter picking in a gale is an art form worthy of the Turner Prize. Nevertheless we wrangled 10 bags of rubbish as well as collecting and removing numerous items left by happy visitors, including a grill, a kettle and a large pallet left on the beach.
Doing it all again next week, all welcome to join us.
