A Men’s Shed is a place where a group of men can come together for recreation and companionship. What is a Men’s Shed? A Men’s Shed is a community-based, non-profit, non-commercial organisation accessible to all individuals providing a safe, friendly and healing environment where people are able to work on meaningful projects at their own pace in their own time in the company of other people. We aim to provide a supportive environment for people to gather, volunteer, work, teach, learn and seek fellowship with like-minded others. We want to promote and stabilise the mental, physical, emotional and economic wellbeing of people in our community. Breadalbane Men’s Shed is a charity which has been in existence since 2016 . We are a group who enjoy meeting up regularly to enjoy a cuppa, talk and do woodwork or other practical activities. While our principal aim is to provide recreational activities, we hope to help individuals overcome social isolation and loneliness. Our repair service also offers the chance for items to be refurbished or repurposed rather than being discarded.

This is Men's Health week. The Scottsh Scottish Men's Sheds Association has encouraged all the Men's Sheds in Scotland to open their doors and spread the word of how they offer men the opportunity to get out of the house, enjoy the company of other guys and, if they want, take part in activies. Your local shed, Breadalbane Men's Shed is holding an Open Day on Friday from 11:00 to 4:00. Please come along.

We had a great time at Aberfeldy Christmas Market today. Lots of conversations with people interested in what goes on in our Men's Shed. We also sold most of the items we had made for the market. Many thanks to everyone who bought something from us. Thanks also to Aberfeldy Festive Committee who organised the day so well.

It is the Aberfeldy Christmas Market tomorrow in the Square. We have a stall and have been working hard to make items to offer for sale.

We have a selection of hand turned bowls , musrooms and other items. We have a forest of Christmas trees and lots of different hanging decorations.

If you are there tomorrow, please drop by and see for yourself.
