✨Finding the Awesome in Autism ✨

Ninja Carrie💚invites you to our informal session, ✨"Finding the Awesome in Autism,"✨ where we will explore the unique experiences and strengths, that come with being autistic from our lived experience perspectives.

During this session, we will open up the conversation and cover:

🟢Understanding Autism: Dive into what it means to be autistic, and share experience.
🟢Environment's Impact: Learn how environment impacts the nervous system, behaviour and outcomes for autistic individuals.
🟢Building Connections: Discover practical tips and strategies to strengthen your bond and build connection.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 This is a relaxed opportunity to share experiences, ask questions, and connect with other parent carers in a supportive and welcoming environment.

On Friday evening, we hosted another fantastic “You’re Invited” party, and once again we were reminded why this project means so much to so many families. 🎂

You’re Invited, funded by Cash for Kids North East Scotland, was created to ensure that neurodivergent children and young people can enjoy birthday celebrations in a way that works for them - with less pressure, more understanding, and plenty of fun along the way. 🙌

We were absolutely delighted to welcome the Cash for Kids team along to see the project in action and learn more about the difference their support is making alongside Codonas - our delivery partners. 💚

The highlight of the evening? It came from one parent who excitedly told us that it was the first time her child had ever been to Smugglers Cove and, for the very first time, she had actually managed to sit down and drink ALL of her coffee while it was still hot! She also loved the cakes kindly sponsored by our friends at The Bread Guy 🎂☕❤️

It might sound like a small thing, but for many families of neurodivergent and disabled children, moments like that are incredibly rare. Knowing their child is happy, safe and supported creates the opportunity to relax, connect and simply enjoy being together. 🫶

A huge thank you to Cash for Kids for believing in the idea, to Codonas for embracing it so wholeheartedly, and to every family who joins us and helps shape what these parties become.

Because every child deserves to feel celebrated, and every parent deserves the chance to finish their coffee. ☕️

Join Ninjas Lisa and Margaret for a relaxed and welcoming “Ninja Natter” at Catalyst Vineyard Church on Laurencekirk High Street.

It’s a chance to connect with fellow parents and carers, swap stories, and share tips.

☕ Expect friendly faces and practical chats — whether you're navigating school transitions, sensory needs, or just need a breather with a cuppa and a biscuit in a safe space. You are always very welcome, and so are children not in school.

We’re here to support, signpost, uplift and learn from each other.

This is a drop-in session, so just come along whenever you can — we’d love to see you.

TEAM NINJA - WE NEED YOU!

We are absolutely delighted to announce that We Too! has been selected as a Supporting Charity Partner for the Aberdeen Half Marathon 2026!

And now comes the exciting bit...

We have up to 10 charity places available for amazing humans who would like to run, jog, walk, shuffle, power-walk, or simply survive 13.1 miles in support of neurodivergent and disabled children, young people and families across Aberdeen City and Shire.

No matter whether you're a seasoned runner or someone who thinks a marathon is what happens when Netflix asks if you're still watching, we'd love to have you on Team Ninja with Trustees Adele and Natalie...

All we ask is that you commit to raising a minimum of £250 for We Too!

Every step you take will help us continue delivering inclusive events, family support, accessibility projects and so much more.
