Huge thanks to a fellow men shed for the kind donation of some surplus tools they had, myself and Robert Stout went to meet the guys last week and had a brilliant time getting to know some of them. We even managed to speak about an inter shed pool night which we can't wait to get on the cards. Make sure you check out their page and also their producers market. So today took me to methlick to see one of the newest members on the page Finn Baxter of ythan sawmilling and timber where he very kindly donated some timber for a bench we are making for the p&j live. Check out the grain of the wood, a lot of sanding and building to come in the next few weeks. Make sure you check out Finn's page as he has some nice timber available and you get a yap with a topper of a man.

Evening folks, well after a long wait we have finally made the first purchases for the workshop. We are currently giving the chairs from the beacon cafe a revamp but will be giving the lathe a test run this Wednesday, with this purchase being made we are looking to start building tools and materials. I kindly ask if you could donate any old tools, paints and wood so we can continue to help our community and the people in it, we currently have a bank account through the bbcla if any companies would like to donate details can be passed furthermore if anyone would like to individually donate please get in touch and arrangements can be made.
Can everyone please share this post as even a simple share can make a huge difference.

The guys here at the Bucksburn Men's Shed wanted to do a Community Clean Up at the front of Sclattie Park shops on Saturday morning. Which belongs to Aberdeen City Council. This area has been neglected for awhile now. And we wanted to make a difference. So we got to Work removing litter, weeds, clearing the drains and debris from the Paths and Car Park. A great Team effort from the 8 guys to get it done! 👌😊

So today myself (Richie) and Michael Leslie got fed up of the broken drain cover at the bottom of wagley parade which some of you know is on a main school route and had been broken for some time with multiple reports to the council and various other people within the community who have lacked to repair the issue. I contacted Gary Beaton of PDM at loch hill's this afternoon who immediately offered a drain cover to fix the issue. Job done with an hour. 😃

We have applied to the Scottish Men's Sheds Association and submitted our application last night. This will be great for the Shed to have some support and guidance moving forward 😊
