🏃‍♀️🔥 BB14 Charity Corporate Challenge 2026! 🔥🏃‍♂️

The teams are registered, the challenge is set and the countdown is on! ⏰

On Saturday 12th September, our corporate teams will take on the Beast Race - putting teamwork, determination and a little bit of friendly competition to the test, all in support of BB14. 💪

It’s set to be a brilliant day of challenges, camaraderie and, no doubt, a bit of healthy rivalry along the way! 😁

A huge thank you to Lochside Academy and teacher Lisa Smith, who held their 2026 dance show at the end of term. BB14 are incredibly grateful to have received a fantastic £229 raised from the performance.

The local community has lost far more than a football team. It has lost a group of lads who gave their time voluntarily to support local charities and make a positive difference, and that impact will be felt by many. From everyone at BB14, thank you for your incredible support, generosity and friendship. We're truly saddened to see Stornoway Society/Holburn FC come to an end, but you should all be immensely proud of what you've achieved both on and off the pitch. As Stornoway Society/Holburn Football Club comes to an end, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who has been part of our journey.

Firstly, a huge thank you to all of our sponsors who have supported us since the club’s inception. Your backing, both on and off the park has been invaluable and has helped us grow into the club we became.

To our supporters, friends and everyone who followed our results and cheered us on over our 2 years thank you. Your encouragement, whether from the sidelines or from afar meant the world!

To every manager and coach who dedicated their time and commitment thank you for helping shape our identity and pushing us.

To all of our committee members, past and present, thank you for the countless hours of hard work behind the scenes. So much of what this club achieved was only possible because of your tireless efforts both on and off the park.

We'd also like to extend our thanks to Brian and everyone at the Aberdeen Sunday Amateur Football Association for welcoming us into the league. Thank you for your professionalism, support and for making our two seasons a positive experience both on and off the pitch.

A special thank you also goes to our charity partners. It has been a privilege to work alongside two incredible local charities and we are proud that together we were able to make a meaningful difference within our community. Thank you for your support, your time and for allowing us to play a small part in the amazing work you do. Giving back has always been an important part of what Stornoway Society/Holburn Football Club stood for.

As the club comes to a close our final club funds were split between our partner charities with BB14 & The Jude Macdonald Memorial Fund both receiving £550.

And finally, to every player who has pulled on a Stornoway/Holburn shirt, past and present, thank you for embracing what Stornoway Society/Holburn Football Club was all about. What started as a group of mates with a shared passion grew into something we are incredibly proud of.

While this chapter closes, the friendships, memories and values we’ve built together will carry on. We wish every one of you the very best as you move on to new challenges and new teams.

Over the past week, Bens Uncle Steven and Auntie Emma, joined by good friend Lee completed an extraordinary expedition in memory of Ben and to raise valuable funds for the BB14 charity. Bagging 9 Munros over 7 days in extremely challenging conditions was an amazing achievement.
To show support and appreciation, Steven, Emma and Lee were joined by over 40 BB14 supporters on the final day as the team conquered Scotlands 2nd highest peak at Ben MacDui. A massive well done and Thank you to all those who joined us over the weekend and contributed to the fundraising. A huge shout out to Steven, Emma and Lee for their hard work, resilience and shear determination in memory of Ben ♥️

At BB14, we are incredibly fortunate to have the support of individuals and organisations who are willing to go above and beyond to help us make a difference. Marvelle Events is one such partner.
After hearing Ben’s story and learning about our vision for BB14, Jill wasted no time in reaching out to offer her support. What followed was an extraordinary act of generosity. Jill and the entire Marvelle team pledged their support to our charity launch gala dinner, providing their expertise, creativity, and event props completely free of charge to help make our launch an overwhelming success.
Their contribution was nothing short of remarkable. Through their passion, professionalism, and attention to detail, Marvelle transformed the venue into a truly stunning setting, creating an atmosphere that perfectly reflected the significance of the occasion. Their support helped make our launch gala dinner an unforgettable evening for our guests, supporters, and everyone connected to BB14.
Beyond the fantastic event they helped create, Marvelle became a valued part of the BB14 family. A relationship that began through a shared desire to support a worthwhile cause has grown into a genuine partnership built on trust, friendship, and a commitment to making a positive impact.
We are deeply grateful to Jill and the entire Marvelle team for their unwavering support & generosity. Their kindness has played an important role to BB14, and we are proud to continue our partnership as we prepare for this year's No Scotland, No Party Gala Dinner.
