🇫🇷 Une très belle nouvelle pour le jumelage Quimperlé–Liskeard ! 🇬🇧
Vendredi 15 mai, 24 habitants de Liskeard se sont réunis pour relancer officiellement la Liskeard and District Twinning Association, le nouveau comité de jumelage anglais.
Son objectif : renforcer encore les liens d’amitié et les échanges avec ses villes jumelées, Quimperlé et Kopychyntsi.
La réunion a permis de faire émerger de nombreuses idées et projets pour développer les relations déjà construites au fil des années avec le soutien du conseil municipal de Liskeard.
La maire de Liskeard, Christina Whitty, a salué « la force de la relation avec les villes jumelées » et exprimé son souhait de poursuivre cette belle dynamique avec la nouvelle association.
Chrissie Henwood, élue présidente du comité, s’est réjouie de la forte mobilisation des habitants et de l’enthousiasme partagé autour du jumelage.
Nous adressons toutes nos félicitations au nouveau comité anglais et nous nous réjouissons des futurs projets et échanges entre Quimperlé et Liskeard ! 🇫🇷🤝🇬🇧
🇬🇧 A wonderful new step for the Quimperlé–Liskeard Twinning! 🇫🇷
On Friday 15th May, 24 local residents gathered to officially reform the Liskeard and District Twinning Association, the new English twinning committee.
Its aim is to strengthen the friendship and exchanges with its twin towns, Quimperlé and Kopychyntsi.
The meeting brought forward many inspiring ideas and projects to further develop the relationships already built over the years with the support of Liskeard Town Council.
The Mayor of Liskeard, Christina Whitty, highlighted “the strong relationship we have with our twin towns” and expressed her enthusiasm about working with the new association.
Chrissie Henwood, elected Chair of the association, said she was delighted to see so many people attending and looking forward to building the future of the twinning together.
Congratulations to the new English committee — we are excited about the future projects and exchanges between Quimperlé and Liskeard! 🇬🇧🤝

The aim of the association is to build stronger links with our twin towns of Quimperle and Kopychyntsi.
It was really great to hear so many amazing ideas about how to further the relationships and to build upon the work already done by the Town Council
Cllr Christina Whitty Mayor of Liskeard said “ the relationship we have with our Twin Towns is really strong and we look forward to working with the new Twinning association in continuing the amazing relationship we have”
Chrissie Henwood who was appointed Chair said “ it is really great to see so many people here tonight and I look forward to working with each and everyone of you to take this relationship forward”
