If I was to say to you I was going to Paris in July to watch the final stage of the Tour de France knowing me you would say, 1st class Eurostar? Yes by bike as I'm doing London to Paris - the hard way!!!
6 years ago my mother in law Hazel sadly passed away after beating Multiple Myeloma for 9 years, also 6 years ago I proposed to my beautiful now wife Verity in Paris. Sadly Hazel didn't get to se
e that as she passed away 12 days before but she did know it was happening as I had asked Hazel and Barry's (my father in law) permission to propose, something I am so glad that I did. So I thought there isn't a better way to celebrate, honour and remember Hazel's achievements by raising money for Penny Brohn Cancer Care who helped Hazel change her mindset and outlook post diagnosis which undoubtably helped Hazel beat Multiple Myeloma for 9 years. Penny Brohn is an amazing charity which we owe so much to. Their mission is to help people live well with the impact of cancer through the Penny Brohn Whole Person Approach. So to raise money for Penny Brohn I am riding London to Paris which is 300 miles, 4 days, 2 capital cities, 1 epic challenge that will finish riding up the Champs Elysées in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe the day before the Tour de France finishes in this iconic location. The aim of this page is to raise awareness of my challenge and to keep you all updated with my fight back to fitness to complete the challenge. I intend to post regular photos, videos and fundraising events throughout the year which will culminate with a Grand Depart party the weekend before I set off for the challenge!!! So please join me on this journey and help me raise £1400 for such a great cause that we owe so much to as a family.
