In the hushed silence of a winter morning,
Montmartre is adorned in white 🌨️
And a scarlet figure crosses the frame, like an apparition ✨

La dame en rouge dans Montmartre enneigé ❄️
Dans le silence feutré d’un matin d’hiver, Montmartre se pare de blanc ☃️
La rue de l’Abreuvoir devient décor…
Et une silhouette écarlate traverse le cadre, comme une apparition.
Cette photographie argentique, capturée sur film Kodak Ultramax 400, rappelle que parfois une seule couleur suffit à raconter une histoire :

FOUR YEARS IN NORMANDY (2019-2023) In 2020, confined to the Norman village where he had bought a house, Hockney began sending his friends iPad drawings to comfort them, such as the one of daffodils, accompanied for the first time by the caption « Do remember, they can’t cancel the spring. » In these drawings, Hockney celebrates the subtleties of the seasonal and daily changes in vegetation in all its forms, the iPad allowing him to revisit the same motif and thus constantly renew his work ☔️

QUATRE ANS EN NORMANDIE (2019-2023)
En 2020, contraint au confinement dans le village normand où il a acheté une maison, Hockney commence à envoyer à ses amis, pour les réconforter, des dessins sur iPad, tel celui où il dessine des jonquilles, accompagnés pour la première fois de la mention «Do remember, they can’t cancel the spring».
Hockney y célèbre les subtilités des changements saisonniers et quotidiens de la végétation dans tous ses états, l’iPad lui permettant de revisiter le même motif et ainsi de renouveler très vite et en permanence son travail.»⛈️
