Earlier this month, the Executive Committee of the European Sociological Association met in Warsaw for an important on-site coordination visit ahead of the 17th ESA Conference.
During the visit, the ExeC held its working meeting hosted at Civitas University and toured several of the conference venues that will host the ESA community in August 2026, including facilities at the Uniwersytet Warszawski and the SGGW / Warsaw University of Life Sciences .
These visits represented an important step in the ongoing preparation of the conference and allowed fruitful exchanges with the Local Organising Committee regarding logistics, accessibility and participant experience.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all colleagues and partners in Warsaw for their warm welcome, generosity, professionalism, and continued commitment to making the 17th ESA Conference a memorable meeting point for sociologists and social scientists from across Europe and beyond.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming the international community to Warsaw this August.
