Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly Anthony Naveed, accompanied by MPA Asif Moosa and Faheem Patni, met with Allama M***i Zubair, Allama M***i Waqas, Allama Bilal Saleem Qadri, Allama Abdullah Noori, and Rev. Fr. Waqas to discuss the recent incident in Baldia Town.
The meeting emphasized the importance of a transparent, impartial, and merit-based investigation to establish the facts and ensure that those responsible are held accountable in accordance with the law. Participants also stressed that no innocent person should suffer as a result of false or unverified allegations.
Deputy Speaker Anthony Naveed appreciated the timely intervention and constructive role of the religious leadership, elected representatives, law enforcement agencies, and local community leaders. Through dialogue, coordination, and a shared commitment to peace, the situation was brought under control without loss of life or injuries, demonstrating the importance of cooperation and respect for the rule of law.
The participants reaffirmed their shared commitment to justice, interfaith harmony, mutual respect, and the peaceful coexistence of all citizens, expressing the hope that this collaborative approach will continue to guide the peaceful resolution of such sensitive matters in the future.
