Located at 172 Boulevard Saint-Germain in the famous Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighbourhood, Café de Flore is a historic Parisian landmark that has been welcoming visitors since around 1887. Its name comes from Flora, the Roman goddess of flowers and spring, represented by a sculpture that once stood across the boulevard.
🌿 A Café Filled with History
Café de Flore became a legendary meeting place for writers, philosophers, artists and intellectuals during the 20th century. Famous literary figures such as Guillaume Apollinaire, André Breton, Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir helped make it an important part of Paris’s cultural history.

Its beautiful green awnings, classic terrace chairs, elegant outdoor tables and traditional Parisian atmosphere make it instantly recognisable. Visitors come here to enjoy coffee, croissants, delicious French dishes and the simple pleasure of watching Parisian life unfold along the boulevard.

The café was purchased by Paul Boubal in 1939. In 1983, he met Miroslav Siljegovic, who later became associated with the café’s succession. The establishment is now operated through Café de Flore SAS.
