Le Clou Films is delighted to announce the screening of "Le Coin des Vauriens" by Djamil Beloucif, supported by Gilgamesh Production, Le Polygone Étoilé, and the ADA collective. The screening will take place on December 22, 2024, at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York.
Building his film around a single, fixed 4-hour shot, Djamil Beloucif offers a truly unique cinematic experience. This daring approach stems from a radical setup: a camera installed and made available to the residents of Algiers. Capturing raw, intimate, and often unexpected moments, this participatory method paints a vibrant collective portrait of the city and its people.
The ICP, a renowned institution for photography and moving images, provides the perfect setting to showcase this kind of work and introduce audiences to contemporary Algerian cinema.

يسعد شركة Le Clou Films أن تعلن عن عرض فيلم “Le coin des vauriens” للمخرج جميل بلوصيف، بدعم من شركة Gilgamesh Productions، وLe Polygone Étoilé، ومجموعة ADA. سيُقام الحدث يوم 22 ديسمبر 2024 في أرشيف أفلام الأنثولوجيا في نيويورك، بتنظيم من المركز الدولي للتصوير الفوتوغرافي (ICP).
من خلال تقديم فيلمه عبر لقطة ثابتة مدتها أربع ساعات، يقدم جميل بلوصيف تجربة سينمائية فريدة وغير مسبوقة. يعتمد هذا الخيار الجريء على نهج راديكالي يتمثل في كاميرا مثبتة تُترك تحت تصرف سكان مدينة الجزائر. عبر التقاط لحظات خام، شخصية، وغالبًا غير متوقعة، يرسم هذا الأسلوب التشاركي صورة جماعية نابضة بالحياة للمدينة وأهلها.
يعد أرشيف أفلام الأنثولوجيا، وهو مكان معروف بعرض الأعمال السينمائية المميزة، منصة مثالية لتسليط الضوء على هذا النوع من الأعمال الفنية وإبراز السينما الجزائرية المعاصرة.

Le Clou Films est ravi d’annoncer la projection du film "Le Coin des Vauriens", de Djamil Beloucif et soutenu par Gilgamesh productions, Le polygone étoilé et le collectif ADA. L’évènement aura lieu le 22 décembre 2024 à l’International Center of Photography (ICP) à New York.
En construisant son film autour d’un plan fixe de 4 heures, Djamil Beloucif, nous offre une expérience cinématographique unique. Ce choix audacieux est voulu à partir d’un dispositif radical : une caméra installée et laissée à disposition des habitants de la ville d’Alger. Capturant des instants bruts, intimes et souvent inattendus, ce procédé participatif dresse ainsi un portrait collectif vibrant de la ville et de ses habitants.
L’ICP, lieu emblématique de la photographie et de l’image en mouvement, offre un cadre idéal pour mettre en lumière ce type d’œuvre et faire connaitre le cinéma algérien contemporain.
