đłđ” **NEPAL | Our thoughts are with the communities affected**
Nepal has once again been struck by a devastating natural disaster.
The districts of **Rasuwa and Nuwakot**, near the Tibetan border, have been severely affected by destructive floods, mud and debris flows. Rescue operations are underway, while many people remain missing and several areas are still inaccessible by road.
In the coming days, **Solu^Cham will work with its local network and partners, including our friends from the Rotary Club of Kathmandu West**, to gather reliable information, identify the most urgent needs and determine how we can provide meaningful support.
đ **Regarding the Solukhumbu region, where most of our projects are based, we have reassuring news for now.**
The **NVTC, Foyer Nino, the schools and health centres we support have not reported significant damage**, and our teams, children and students â including those currently completing internships in the Khumbu â are safe.
The road from Kathmandu to Salleri and Surke also remains open at this time.
These are precious pieces of good news, although the monsoon season is far from over and the situation remains fragile.
Yesterday, the young people of the NVTC gathered together in prayer.
Today, we join them in our thoughts for all those who are missing, for their families, and for every community facing loss, uncertainty and extreme hardship.
**More than ever, Nepal and its people need solidarity.
Solu^Cham will stand alongside them, as we always have. đłđ”đ**
