🌊 New to Le Havre? Looking to meet people?

Moving to a new city can feel exciting… and a little overwhelming. That’s why LH Connections is here.

We are a friendly, volunteer-run non-profit association that welcomes expats, internationals and anyone settling in Le Havre. Whether you’ve just arrived or have lived here for a few months, you’ll find a warm community, new friendships and plenty of opportunities to discover our beautiful city together.

☕ Our next Welcome Coffee will be on Saturday 5 September at 11:00. Save the date! The venue will be announced soon, and you’ll find all the details in our Facebook Event.

A few photos from our recent LH Connections anniversary celebration! 🎉

Four years ago, LH Connections was created with a simple goal: to connect local residents and international people who settle in Le Havre for work, family, studies, or new opportunities.

Today, we are a group of around 120 families from many different countries and backgrounds. Some were born and raised in Le Havre, others have arrived from across France or around the world. What brings us together is a desire to meet people, build friendships, and feel at home in our city.

What makes LH Connections so unique is the diversity of its members. Our different cultures, languages, traditions, and perspectives make every conversation an opportunity to learn something new. We truly believe that these exchanges enrich all of us and help create a more open and welcoming Le Havre.

A special thank you to Isabelle for her fascinating presentation on Le Havre and D-Day. Learning more about the history of our city together is one of the many ways we connect and better understand the place we call home.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this adventure over the past four years. Whether you have been with us since the beginning or joined recently, you are helping make LH Connections a warm, friendly, and welcoming group.

🌟 Member Spotlight: Nico 🇫🇷

This month’s spotlight is a little emotional for us, as we say goodbye to NICOLAS DUNEUFGERMAIN, who is leaving Le Havre for new adventures. 💛

Over the past year, Nico generously gave up so much of his free time to help organise and facilitate our monthly French Conversation Meetups. As a French language trainer, he created a welcoming space where members could practise French, gain confidence, laugh at mistakes together, and simply connect.

One of the things that makes LH Connections special is that it’s an association run by its members. Nobody is ever expected or obligated to organise activities — members can participate as much or as little as they like. But when people step forward like Nico did, it really helps the community grow and thrive.

His kindness, patience, and positive energy made a real difference to many people arriving in Le Havre, especially those trying to improve their French and feel more at home here.

Thank you, Nico, for everything you brought to LH Connections. We’ll miss you greatly and wish you all the very best for this exciting next chapter. 🌍✨
