Camp Quality Challenge

Camp Quality Challenge The greatest challenge of my life. As some of you may already know I am taking on the ultimate challenge. The support.

I will be trekking over 200km, at over 5 800m in elevation in Karakoram (Pakistan). A place currently in the highest level of caution from the Government. I will be experiencing extremes in weather that can change dramatically from day to night and in elevation. All of this will be in a place where few to no-one has travelled before. Accompanied by Tim Macartney-Snape (first Australian to climb Ev

erest and famous for his Sea to Summit quest), and hopefully getting to see Trango Tower, Masherbrum, The Latoks and the worlds hardest mountain, K2. The aim is for us to explore new areas that has never been seen before, and I am hoping to break a world record...

Now for where you come in. I will be completely funding my way, but I ask all of you to consider supporting me for a good cause. I want to raise $100 000 for charity and to do it I am willing to pledge 1km run, 1 chin-ups, 1min skipping or 1 push-ups for every dollar raised to get myself ready for the hardest thing I have ever attempted. So go on this wall, pledge an amount to Camp Quality! Please consider, its not often I expect people to give, but this time I am!

Down off the mountain. The broken cable cars and weather changed our plans 3 times and this morning put a summit attempt too risky. With a layer of hail under the snow, avalanche risk, and a dangerous crevasse from the new route we chose to avoid it all. But we have summited two other peaks, done some more technical climbing and back on ground safely. Glad to say goodbye to my migraine and sick stomach of 4 days. More pics and videos to come. Now to recover. Thanks for all the support!

Successful day glacier training. Saw a heli rescue on the mountain next to us. Our route for the summit attempt is closed and so we will be training from Italy tomorrow. Then probably traversing across to start Mont Blanc.... but we will see.

Oh and we jumped 1m across this for training. You can see at the end in the bottom of the video. I didn’t take much footage as I was focusing on learning everything.

Well my heart sank once I saw the beast. But now I am energised and pumped. Nothing great comes easy.

Looks like its going to get hairy with wind picking up from 15 to 40km/h, windchill dropping and snow forecasted. Hopefully the forecast eases up in the coming days, that or it passes before summit day. Fingers crossed.
