FOCUS ON THE TINIEST GESTURE OF KINDNESS YOU CAN OFFER SOMEONE THIS 2025

A man was hired to paint a boat. With his paint, brushes, and a steady hand, he began coating the boat in a vibrant red, as the owner had requested. As he worked, he noticed a small hole in the hull, barely noticeable to the untrained eye. Without saying a word, he repaired it, considering it part of his job.

Once he finished painting, the owner paid him, and the man left, content with his day's work. The next morning, however, the owner returned, holding a check far more generous than what was owed for the painting.

Surprised, the painter asked, "Sir, you've already paid me for the paint job. What is this for?"

The owner smiled and said, "This isn’t for the painting. It’s for fixing the hole in the boat."

The painter, puzzled, replied, "But that was such a small thing—certainly not worth this amount."

"My friend, you don’t understand," the owner began. "When I asked you to paint the boat, I didn’t even know about the hole myself. After you finished and the paint dried, my children took the boat out on a fishing trip without telling me. I was away, and when I got home, I was horrified to realize they had gone out in a boat with a hole in the hull."

The painter listened intently as the man continued, his voice now thick with emotion.

"I was terrified, thinking they might never return. But when they came back safely, I rushed to check the boat and found that you had repaired the hole. You didn’t just fix a boat—you saved my children’s lives. That’s something I can never fully repay."

The painter stood silent, absorbing the weight of the man’s words.

The owner added softly, "Sometimes, the smallest gestures can have the greatest impact. What seemed insignificant to you meant the world to me."

In life, we may unknowingly fix many “holes” for others—offering help, mending hearts, or simply being there when needed. We often don't realize how much those small actions can mean to someone else.

You never know when your quiet kindness might save a life. Keep helping, keep caring, for the world needs more boat painters.

Good evening everyone!

It is with pleasure to be part of this awards for the first ever Champion Weight Loser Challenge to be hosted here in Namosi and Serua.
It is pleasant to see the overwhelming support towards our fight against NCD as a community.

NCD is indeed a number one killer not only in our country but in the Pacific Region as a whole.
And to see our small town unite for this fort is indeed an evidence of a good community we live in. Death is no longer a joke, we have lost many of our loved ones in this deadly disease, and we need to initiate strategies for our people as urgent awareness. Alone we can do so little and Together we can do so much.

⛔I would like to thank all the 100 plus commited participants who braved the 3 months journey to combat what is the leading cause of Non Communicable Disease - and that is Obesity and Inactivity. Thank you for showing our districts that participating in such a worthy cause is also advocating awareness for the people of Serua and Namosi. Thank you for showing our people when it comes to NCD it is a matter of critical analysis that needs to be urgently considered by working together as a team in participation. You are all champions.

⛔I would like to thank the corporates and small businesses of our province for the support rendered to Mistbows Special Friends Charity Group for such a worthy cause. The famous River Tubing Fiji, K- Bhali Kava Bar, Amelias Hair Salon, and Duavata Transfers and Tours. You have showed that business is not only about profits and development but also about giving back to your community.

⛔ I would like to thank the Administrations and Leaders of Government Departments and our 2 provincials administration
for all the support rendered to Mistbows. The Health Department and Navua Hospitals, The 2 provincial offices, Fiji Corrections Services.

⛔ I would like to thank the Media Partners Fiji TV and Fiji Times who have created media awareness in their platforms and showing the rest of the world that our community of Serua and Namosi is zealant and proactive. Putting our community initiative in the lime spot.

⛔Lastly i would like to applaud the Mistbows Special Friends Charity for a worthy cause. Mrs Kiti and her team for seeing the need and creating a worthy cause. You have showed our community that charity does not only begin and stay at home, it can be a manner of influence in the community. Thank you for initiating such a creative and interesting way to combat NCD. Thank you for making this challenge now an annual event. You saw the need, you planned a cause and you succeeded and beat a loud drum noise and melody this past 3 months by showing the rest of the world that our community is proactive and cares for its people.
Thank you for all that you do for our people. You have rendered support and reached out to many with your heart and resources and have trully made a difference.

🌸NABUKEBUKE NA TUI NAMOSI - Ratu Suliano had a delightful briefing with Special Friends Director today.
🌸The meeting was fine tuned to having a memorandum of understanding on Special Friends upcoming charitable activities that will impact the 26 villages of the 5 districts in Namosi to progress in the 4th quarter of 2024.
🌸Special Friends Charity Organization is overwhelmed with the support offered by the honorable Tui Namosi.
