Help Save Little Vaadish’s Life

A 3-year-old boy, Vaadish, is currently fighting a devastating battle against metastatic neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer.

He is so young, and his journey ahead is incredibly difficult but there is hope with timely treatment and support.

We are reaching out to kind-hearted people to please come together and help raise funds for his medical treatment. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a real difference in giving Vaadish a chance to fight this disease.

My name is Shirley Maharaj, and I am reaching out as a mother asking for help during one of the most painful and frightening times our family has ever experienced.

My son recently went through a life-threatening medical emergency that nearly took his life. What started as severe pain and worsening weakness quickly became critical, and we were told he needed urgent spinal surgery to prevent permanent damage and save his life.

He underwent a major procedure known as a T5 and T6 laminectomy with debulking of a dorsal epidural lesion. Doctors had to operate on his spine to relieve dangerous pressure on his spinal cord caused by an abnormal lesion in his upper back. There were moments during this ordeal where we truly feared we were going to lose him.

As a mother, nothing prepares you for seeing your child lying in a hospital bed, fighting through pain, unable to walk properly, and depending on crutches just to move around. The emotional trauma of almost losing him is something our family is still trying to process.

Although the surgery was successful, his recovery has been long and difficult. He continues to struggle with pain, limited mobility, emotional stress, and ongoing medical needs. On top of this, we are now facing overwhelming financial pressure from ambulance fees, hospital bills, medications, rehabilitation, transport, and everyday living expenses.

Because he is on a student visa, accessing financial assistance has been extremely difficult, making this situation even more challenging for our family.

My son has always tried to stay strong and independent, but right now he needs help. I am humbly asking for any support, whether through donations, prayers, or sharing this fundraiser. Every act of kindness will help relieve some of the burden and allow him to focus on healing and rebuilding his life.

I am raising funds for Komal Devi (Sister in law) 36 year old from Fiji, who is battling a serious and life threatening illness. Komal resides with her family in Rovandrau Navua and is very well known in our community.

Since December 2025, Komal's health has rapidly declined. What began suddenly turned into a long and difficult medical journey. She has suffered from severe infection, pneumonia, blood clots and ongoing unexplained inflammation in her body affecting multiple parts of her body. She has been hospitalized, endured intense treatments, and continues to live with severe pain, weakness and uncertainty.

Despite months of treatment, her condition remains critical, and doctors are concerned about a serious underlying disease affecting multiple systems in her body. She urgently needs advanced tests and specialist evaluations.

Unfortunately, these critical tests and treatment's are not available in Fiji, and her doctors have strongly recommended immediate medical evacuation overseas to give her a chance at proper diagnosis and recovery.

We are raising funds to help cover the cost of the medical transfer, specialized tests, hospital care, and treatment. This is her only chance to get the answers and care she desperately needs.

Ansh is still bravely fighting Nephrotic Syndrome. He hasn’t been well recently, especially with everything the family has been going through after the floods. It’s been a very tough time, but he continues to stay strong.

After losing his father last year, his mum is doing her best to care for him and his siblings despite her own health struggles.
