RADINET- is a project aiming to develop an NGO-based helping program (Exit-model) for radicalized people, who want to withdraw from violence, extremist thinking and violent activities. The Exit-model is created for people who have been radicalized or are at risk of radicalization, and this risk of becoming radicalized could lead towards violent behavior. The model, what Radinet is creating, will b
e in line with European recommendations and good practices, for the so-called Exit –model. Radinet is part of Radicalization Awareness Network’s Exit –working group which is maintained by (the) European Commission. We develop the Exit-model for working along with the religion based violent extremists and also for violent extremism that can be justified with politics or ideology. The aim is, that the practical experiment could start in the autumn of 2016. The development work has started with the funding of RAY in the beginning of 2016 and it is implemented in co-operation with the Ministry of the Interior, organizations, which do work with violence, and other organizations and their partners. Radinet –project is nationwide, and it employs all together two full-time employees in Oulu and Helsinki.
