Navratri Celebration 2026 – Building on History, Growing Beyond Boundaries
As Navratri celebrations begin across India today, millions of devotees are coming together to celebrate nine nights of devotion, culture, music, and dance. While the festive spirit sweeps across India, the echoes of Garba have once again resonated strongly in Finland, where Ancient Culture Association Ry successfully delivered an even bigger and more inclusive Navratri Celebration 2026.
After making history in 2025 as the first organization to bring renowned Indian live artists for a Live Garba performance in Finland, Ancient Culture Association Ry once again raised the bar and strengthened its position as a pioneer in promoting Indian culture across the Nordic region. What began as a historic milestone last year has now evolved into one of Finland's most anticipated multicultural celebrations.
Building on the remarkable success of 2025, Navratri 2026 attracted an even larger audience, with enthusiastic participation from the Indian, Finnish, and wider international communities. The growing involvement of the Finnish community was particularly encouraging, reflecting the event's role in fostering cultural understanding, community engagement, and social integration through the universal language of music and dance.
This year's celebration featured an exceptional lineup of artists who brought unmatched energy, devotion, and entertainment to the stage:
Vraj Kshatriya – Star performer from Zee TV's SaReGaMaPa
Pratishtha Waghela – Gujarat's celebrated "Dakhla Queen"
Their soulful voices and electrifying stage presence captivated thousands of Garba enthusiasts, creating an unforgettable atmosphere filled with rhythm, devotion, and joy.
The musical experience was further elevated by an exceptional ensemble of artists:
Aakil Zariya – "Dhol King" of Gujarat, India
Abhijeet Gohil – Internationally acclaimed and dynamic Octa player
Dixit Sodha – Renowned keyboard artist from India
Together, they delivered a world-class live performance that energized the audience and showcased the rich traditions of Indian folk music and Garba culture at the highest level.
The dedication and efforts of the Ancient Culture Association Ry team, volunteers, sponsors, and artists were widely appreciated by Indian and Finnish dignitaries, community leaders, and attendees from diverse cultural backgrounds. Their commitment to cultural excellence has transformed Navratri into much more than a festival. It has become a platform that brings people together, builds friendships, and celebrates diversity.
More than just an evening of dance and music, Navratri Celebration 2026 served as a bridge between cultures, highlighting India's vibrant heritage while strengthening connections between communities in Finland. The overwhelming participation from all communities, including an increasing number of Finnish attendees, demonstrated how cultural events can unite people beyond language, nationality, and background.
From creating history in 2025 by introducing Finland's first-ever Live Artist Garba experience to organizing an even grander and more successful celebration in 2026, Ancient Culture Association Ry continues to lead the way in promoting Indian culture and multicultural harmony in Finland.
Navratri 2026 was not only a celebration of tradition, devotion, and dance, but also a celebration of unity, cultural exchange, and the growing spirit of togetherness that defines modern Finland.
