📚 DoC_St. Joseph Kindergarten and Montessori Teacher Training Centre has officially launched its Montessori Teacher Training Programme—the first in Tigray and the second in Ethiopia after Wolayta S**o.

The launch brought together key education stakeholders, including representatives from the Tigray Education Bureau, partners and education professionals, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening quality early childhood education.

With 30 trainees, the programme is equipping teachers with Montessori knowledge, practical skills and child-centred teaching approaches.

The Centre is fully equipped with Montessori materials, essential equipment and a standard practical training workshop, providing trainees with hands-on learning opportunities.

✨ This is more than teacher training it is an investment in children, teachers and the future of education in Tigray.

Train a teacher. Transform a classroom. Empower a child. Shape the future. 💙

🍽️ . . .

For more than five decades the Daughters of Charity (DoC) have served people in need across Tigray with compassion, dignity and commitment.

Today, that mission continues through a School Feeding Programme that reaches hundreds of thousands of children with the generous support helping create the conditions they need to learn, grow and thrive.

The DoC held its with regional and district education stakeholders and other concerned parties.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review achievements, assess programme performance, identify gaps and challenges, share experiences, and develop practical solutions for stronger implementation in the coming year.

The School Feeding Programme Head and Coordinators presented the implementation and performance report, followed by valuable reflections, recommendations and contributions from participants.

Partnership makes impact stronger.

As we look towards the year ahead, the Daughters of Charity and its education partners remain committed to improving efficiency, strengthening coordination and ensuring that children receive quality and dignified support.

Because every meal served is more than food—it is an investment in a child's education, dignity, hope and future.

Together, we nourish today and build the future.
