Dear Partners

We are writing to introduce the Ethiopian Disability People Protection and Rehabilitation (EDPPR), a local non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 2016 and registered on November 2016 as an Ethiopian Resident Charity (Registration No: 3731) under the Charities and Societies Proclamation No. 1113/2011. Our registration was renewed on March 16, 2020.

EDPPR is governed by a dedicated Board and composed of members who share a common vision of empowering individuals with disabilities. Our organization is committed to creating a society where people with disabilities are respected, protected, and integrated into the community.

Our specific objectives are:
At EDPPR, our mission is multifaceted, centered around providing comprehensive support to individuals with disabilities at every stage of their lives. One of our core priorities is education, especially for children with disabilities. We are deeply committed to ensuring that every child has access to quality education, regardless of their physical or cognitive challenges.

Through financial assistance and material support, we help children with disabilities attend school, access specialized instruction, and ultimately graduate equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive.

* To raise awareness and protect individuals with disabilities from various forms of abuse and exploitation.
* To ensure that people with disabilities have access to quality care and support in their communities, as close to their homes as possible.
* To provide special services to vulnerable groups with specific needs, including those affected by conflict, disaster, or poverty.
* To provide rehabilitative services to prevent and minimize secondary handicaps.
* To promote collaboration with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and NGOs to maximize social functional and rehabilitation outcomes.
* To reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with disability.
* To rehabilitate victims by providing vocational training and basic necessities.
*EDPPR has a football club for blind players to encourage personal growth and promote healthy competition with others.

To achieve our goals, we invite you to partner with us in our efforts to support our population. Your collaboration will enable us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities in Ethiopia. We believe that together, we can create a more inclusive and equitable society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Thank you for considering our invitation. We look forward to the possibility of working together.

Sincerely,

Mr Muluneh Geleta
