According to the World Health Organization, an estimated 1.3 billion people nearly 1 in 6 people globally experience significant disability.
Despite this, many persons with disabilities continue to face barriers in:
โข Education
โข Employment
โข Healthcare
โข Infrastructure
โข Public participation
The problem is not disability itself.
The problem is systems that fail to ensure equal inclusion and accessibility.
Protection is not pity.
Protection is not sympathy.
Protection is about:
โ๏ธ Dignity
โ๏ธ Equality
โ๏ธ Inclusion
โ๏ธ Justice
An inclusive society ensures accessibility, equal opportunity, reasonable accommodation, and respect for human dignity.
Governments, institutions, civil society, and individuals all share responsibility to remove barriers and protect equal rights.
As recognized by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, inclusion is not optional; it is both a legal obligation and a moral imperative.
Inclusion is not about special treatment. It is about equal humanity. โฟ๏ธโจ
