🕯️ **Remembering Margarita “Rita” Gusak**

Margarita Gusak dreamed of becoming a doctor, following in the footsteps of her parents.

On October 7, 2023, she attended the Nova music festival near the Gaza border during a break from her studies. When the attack began, Margarita tried to escape and sent her mother a final message saying she planned to leave the festival.

It was the last message her family received from her.

Three days later, her parents received the results of her medical school entrance exam. Margarita had achieved an outstanding score of 730—but she would never have the chance to pursue the future she had worked so hard for.

Her mother later spoke of the dreams she had for her daughter and the future Margarita deserved.

A young woman, a daughter, and a future doctor who should have had many more years ahead of her.
