It doesn't have anything to do with shallow partisan tribalisam, but connecting people who are Gurgura ( or their decendants & relatives ) and interested parties in Gurgura people and their history in East Africa and Worldwide. Apart from Uniting and Informing us as a people it can allow us to recognise others just as the Quranic Injuntion allows - Allah said in the Holy Quran:

خلقناكم من ذكر وأنثى وجعلناكم شعوبا وقبائل لتعارفوا ، إن أكرمكم عند الله أتقاكم(
"O Mankind, We have created you of male and female, and appointed you races and tribes, that you may know one another. Surely the noblest among you in the sight of Allah is the most god-fearing of you." (49:13)
Wherever we live; either in The Horn of Africa or anywhere else on the Planet this our opportunity to link up and say hi and network....! The Gugura people have a distinct identity, the oldest Dirr tribe (Curradir) and therefore probably one of the oldest Somali tribes. Recognised amongst Somali people as particularly prime carriers of the Islamic faith, speakers of more than one language (Oromo & other languages) and also as a business community ( hence the name - to carry from old Somali 'GorGorton'). Gurgura people's ancestral home is the area around Dire Daba although many are settled in Somalia/land & beyond. They were originally known as Mahamed Dirr and were given the nickname 'Madaxweyne Dirr' due to being senior Dirr's in the Dirr family branch. As a Dir subclan; (Madaxweyne Dirr) or Gurgura are made up by three major groups. Habar Daar - Quwaah - Liiban
These three groups are made of many sub-clans:
Habar Daar consists of: Kunduuble, Cali, Cabdille
Quwaah consists of: Nabidoor, Gacal Waaq, Baiido
Liibaan consists of: Gufaatiile, Sanceele, Sanaye
other subclans some of which are;
Layiile, Guure and Jeerse ...
