ACISDA mission is improving the life condition of most marginalized and hard-to-reach Afar pastoral women’s and girls’ through implementing its projects focusing on gender equality, women’s rights, elimination of gender based violence GBV and including harmful traditional practice HTPs, maternal neonatal health improvement and addressing access to education for Afar pastoral children’s with promoting inclusive education focusing on girls education and children with disability CWD.

The training focused on life skills, income-generating activities, and market assessment for the newly established VSLA group communities in the Chifera Woreda of the Afar region. In a joint partnership with (EVAW), has provided training for selected committee members from four Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) groups on bookkeeping, basic financial skills, key procedures, and the implementation of VSLA revolving matching funds. In partnership with Women (EVAW), organized a primarily/entry-phase sensitization workshop for targeted women and girl survivors of GBV, as well as the most at-risk women, to establish new Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA) at Chifera Woreda in the Afar Region. In partnership with , ACISDA organized film show program on GBV at Abala city administration, Berahele Woreda/District, and Abala Woreda/District. This (GBV) film show has produced and carefully planned in terms of cultural sensitivity, and the use of local language to ensure messages are understood and actionable. The conducted film show program significantly contributed to raise the awarness of traget groups on thier social norms. Additionally, it's a powerful community-based strategy designed to trigger dialogue, shift attitudes, and break the silence surrounding violence against women and girls.

The contents of this film is focused on emphasising that GBV is a violation of human rights, not a private family matter. Focus on bystander intervention, positive masculinity, and available support services. The project is supported by .

In partnership with , ACISDA developed prevention sexual exploitation abuse (PSEA) information education and communication (IEC) materials particularly banners and posters to raise the awareness of target people in their local language to prevent sexual explotation, abuse & child abuse. Additionally, these produced (IEC) materials focused on the way of referral path ways and Sexual Explorations, and Abuse (SEA) reporting mechanism.
