O-YES Global Foundation Joins CSIF II as an Implementing Partner of “Youth Civic Labs”

O-YES Global Foundation is proud to be among the selected grantees of Cohort 2 of the Civil Society InnovationFund (CSIF II), officially launched on 1 October 2026 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Through the CSIF II-supported project “Youth Civic Labs: From Dialogue to Design for Social Cohesion in Hard-to-Reach Ethiopia,” O-YES Global Foundation will work alongside consortium partners to strengthen youth civic engagement, promote inclusive dialogue, and advance locally led solutions for social cohesion and peacebuilding.

The project will be implemented in 16 districts across five regions of Ethiopia through a consortium of four civil society organizations, led by the Youth Culture and Development Foundation (YCDF), in partnership with Enga Le Egna, Gets for Opportunity, and O-YES Global Foundation.

As a consortium partner, O-YES Global Foundation will implement project activities in Bale Robe, Gindhir and East Hararghe(Maya City), engaging young people, communities, relevant institutions, and other stakeholders to transform dialogue into practical solutions that foster social cohesion and peaceful, inclusive communities.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the donors — the in Ethiopia, the AFD - Agence Française de Développement, Royal Norwegian Embassy in Addis Ababa
and the Embassy of Ireland in Ethiopia for their commitment to strengthening civil society in Ethiopia. We also appreciate MannionDaniels and AGAR Development Partners, the fund managers, for their support in enabling locally driven initiatives and strengthening civil society organizations.

We further recognize YCDF, as consortium lead, and our fellow implementing partners for their commitment to collaborative action and meaningful community impact.

The Ethiopian Intergenerational Dialogue Initiative-EIDI successfully launched.

Our Executive Director, Mr. Kemal Abdela , KAICIID Fellow, has successfully initiated and launched the Ethiopian Intergenerational Dialogue Initiative (EIDI), with support from KAICIID and affiliation with O-YES Global Foundation.

The inaugural dialogue, held at Aya Hotel in Addis Ababa, brought together over 40 participants representing four generations from government institutions, civil society organizations, media, the business sector, schools, local communities, and religious institutions, reflecting Ethiopia’s rich ethnic, religious, and cultural diversity.

EIDI aims to bridge generational gaps, foster mutual understanding, strengthen social cohesion, and promote peaceful coexistence through inclusive dialogue and collaboration.

This milestone marks an important step toward strengthening intergenerational solidarity and building a more peaceful, inclusive, and united Ethiopia.

We extend our sincere appreciation to KAICIID, all participating institutions, and stakeholders for their support and contribution to this important initiative.

Joining the International Day of Peace 2026

As one the members of United Religions Initiative,
O-YES Global Foundation is pleased to join the International Day of Peace 2026 webinar, “Youth Leading Prevention and Countering Harmful Narratives in Africa: An Intergenerational Exchange,” organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Regional Service Centre for Africa and United Religions Initiative–Africa (URI-Africa).

The programme brings together representatives from UNDP, URI-Africa, the African Union Commission, AU-ECOSOCC, AU-CIDO, IGAD, and the Organisation of African First Ladies for Development, alongside young peacebuilders and civil society practitioners from across the continent.

We are honoured to be part of this important intergenerational exchange, contributing to conversations on youth leadership, peacebuilding, prevention, dialogue, and countering harmful narratives across Africa.

As we celebrate the International Day of Peace, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering young people as agents of peace, dialogue and positive change.
