📌Amhara National Regional State Bureau of Finance Government and Civil Society Organizations Annual Partnership Consultative Forum

📍 Blue Nile Resort Hotel, Bahir Dar

The Annual Partnership Consultative Forum between the Amhara National Regional State Bureau of Finance, government institutions, and Civil Society Organizations was officially opened by the Vice President of Amhara National Regional State, Dr. Abdu Husen, together with the Head of the Regional Finance Bureau, Ato Atalay Tilahun.

OPRIFS proudly participated in the forum and showcased its valuable experiences, achievements, and community impact through an exhibition program. The exhibition attracted visits from high-level regional delegations, city mayors, government officials, CSO representatives, and community leaders.

We are also honored to receive a Certificate of Appreciation from the Regional Finance and Economy Bureau. Among more than 130 national and international Civil Society Organizations assessed under different performance criteria, OPRIFS was recognized for successfully meeting the required standards.

OPRIFS facilitated a two-day training on Resource Mobilization for the CBCCS (Community Based Child Care and Support) Committee.

The training brought together 30 resource mobilizers from 11 kebeles across Atse Tewodros and Tana Sub-cities to strengthen their capacity and commitment toward supporting vulnerable children and communities.

Together, we continue building stronger and more sustainable community support systems. 🤝✨

We were honored to welcome AMKA Africa Justice Initiative (AMKA Africa), an independent non-profit organization working collaboratively with university legal clinics and grassroots organizations to promote access to justice for poor, minority, and marginalized groups across Kenya and Africa.

The visit to OPRIFS, facilitated by Freedom Fund, also brought together local NGO partners including Hope for Justice and Padet for an enriching experience-sharing session.

The discussion focused on access to justice and protection for child domestic workers — reflecting on our successes, addressing challenges, and exploring ways to strengthen and improve our collective efforts in protecting the rights and well-being of child domestic workers.

It was truly a fruitful and inspiring session. We sincerely thank AMKA Africa and all partners for visiting us and for their continued commitment to protecting and promoting the rights of child domestic workers.
