Today, on the International Day to End Obstetric Fistula, we stand in solidarity with survivors and reaffirm our commitment to protecting the dignity, health, and rights of every woman and girl.

Obstetric fistula is one of the most devastating childbirth injuries — affecting survivors physically, emotionally, and socially. Yet it is entirely preventable with timely access to quality maternal healthcare.

Every woman deserves safe childbirth, respectful care, and the full realization of her Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR).

Through our health and protection initiatives, we are dedicated to raising awareness and breaking the silence around obstetric fistula, challenging stigma and supporting survivors with dignity and compassion, strengthening multi-sectoral efforts to prevent these injuries, and advocating for accessible, quality maternal healthcare for all women and girls.

We remain committed to ensuring every woman gives birth safely, restoring dignity, amplifying the voices of survivors, and building communities where every woman and girl lives life in all its fullness.

🌏 Global Partnerships Conference (GPC) starts tomorrow!

As humanitarian needs continue to grow, this year’s conference focuses on shifting from international intervention to locally led solutions, prioritising system support, shared expertise and new partnerships.

At Start Network, we support this shift.

We advocate for locally led solutions, anticipatory and proactive humanitarian action, and partnerships that place communities at the centre.

Research and conversations with members continue to show:
