Last week, from March 5-7, the three-day CSOs Week Exhibition was successfully held at the Addis International Convention Center, bringing together civil society organizations, partners, and key stakeholders to showcase their work and strengthen collaboration across the sector.
At this event, “We Volunteer – ቅን ልብ” digital volunteer mobile application, developed in collaboration with the Authority for Civil Society Organizations (ACSO) and Korea International Volunteer Organization (KVO International), was actively showcased to participants. During the exhibition, participants were introduced to the application and its features, including how it connects volunteers with volunteer opportunities, modernizes volunteer engagement, and simplifies participation in volunteer service. Various awareness-raising and promotional activities were also conducted to help visitors better understand the platform. The event also demonstrated to participants how the application is bringing volunteerism into a digital system, creating new opportunities for community participation and engagement.
As part of the event, the Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Council (ECSOC), in collaboration with Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and with the support of the European Union, hosted a panel discussion titled: “Current Experiences, Challenges, and Prospects of CSOs in Peacebuilding and Good Governance”
During the panel discussion, H.E. Mr. Terefe Degeti, Executive Director of ECSOC, emphasized that peacebuilding and good governance are closely interconnected and cannot be addressed separately. He noted that achieving sustainable peace requires the collective responsibility and active participation of all stakeholders. H.E. also called on civil society organizations to strengthen their role in promoting dialogue and cooperation, and to actively contribute to building a culture of peace and good governance.
ባሳለፍነው ሳምንት ከየካቲት 26-28 ለሶስት ቀናት የቆየ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ኤግዚቢሽን በአዲስ አለምአቀፍ ኮንቬንሽን ሴንተር ተካሂዷል። በዝግጅቱም የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች እንዲሁም የሚመለከታቸው ባለድርሻ አካላት በተገኙበት እየተሰሩ ያሉ ስራዎችን ለእይታ ቀርበዋል። ዝግጅቱም በዘርፉ ትብብርን ለማጠናከር ዕድል የፈጠረ ነው።
በዝግጅቱም ላይ ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ባለስልጣን (ACSO) እና ኮሪያ ኢንተርናሽናል ቮለንቲየር ኦርጋናይዜሽን (KVO International) ጋር በመተባበር ያዘጋጁትን "We Volunteer ቅን ልብ" ዲጂታል የበጎ ፈቃድ ሞባይል መተግበሪያን ለተሳታፊዎች ማስተዋወቅን ያለመ ተሳትፎ አድርጓል። ለተሳታፊዎችም የሞባይል መተግበሪያው እንዴት በጎ ፈቃደኞችን ከበጎ ፈቃድ ዕድሎች ጋር እንደሚያገናኝ፣ የበጎ ፈቃድ ስራን እንዴት እንደሚያዘምን እንዲሁም እንደሚያቀላጥፍ የማስተዋወቅ እና ግንዛቤ የማስጨበጥ ስራዎች ተሰርተዋል። መተግበሪያው በጎ ፈቃድን ወደ ዲጂታል ስርዓት በማምጣት ለማህበረሰቡ ተሳትፎ አዲስ ዕድሎችን እየፈጠረ መሆኑን ለተሳታፊዎች ማሳየት ተችሏል።
የኢትዮጵያ ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ካውንስል (ECSOC) ከWelthungerhilfe (WHH) ጋር በመተባበር እንዲሁም በEuropean Union ድጋፍ የተዘጋጀ “በሰላም ግንባታና በመልካም አስተዳደር ዘርፍ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች አሁናዊ ተሞክሮዎች፣ ተግዳሮቶች እንዲሁም የወደፊት ተስፋዎች” የተሰኘ የፓናል ውይይት አካሂዷል።
በውይይቱም ወቅት የመክፈቻ ንግግር ያደረጉት የኢትዮጵያ ሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ካውንስል (ECSOC) ዋና ዳይሬክተር ክቡር አቶ ተረፈ ደገቲ፣ ሰላም ግንባታ እና መልካም አስተዳደር በእርስ በርሳቸው የተያያዙ መሆናቸውን ገልፀው ተለያይተው ሊታዩ እንደማይገባ አስገንዝበዋል። ዘላቂ ሰላም ለማምጣት የሁሉም ባለድርሻ አካላት ንቁ ተሳትፎ አስፈላጊ መሆኑንም ጠቅሰዋል። እንዲሁም የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች በውይይትና በትብብር ያላቸውን ሚና እንዲያጠናክሩና የሰላምና የመልካም አስተዳደር ባህል ለመገንባት ንቁ ተሳትፎ እንዲያደርጉ ጥሪ አቀረበዋል።
