Celebrating Growth and New Beginnings

We are happy to share that Abdurezak Kemal Reshid has completed his six-month internship at Addis Guzo.

During his time with us, he gained hands-on experience across our rehabilitation services, strengthening his transition from academic learning to professional practice while working closely with the team.

As Abdurezak reflects on his experience:

“During my internship, I realized the true value of practical learning. Before starting, my understanding was mainly theoretical, and many concepts felt clear only on paper. Through hands-on exposure in wheelchair services, rehabilitation, and skills development, I began to see how theory translates into real life practice. This experience help me understand clients need more deeply and showed me that professional competence grows when knowledge is applied, observed, and practiced in real situations.”

It has been a pleasure to have him with us, and we truly appreciate his dedication and commitment. We wish him all the best in his next steps.

A Proud Moment for Addis Guzo's Contemporary Dance Team

Our Contemporary dance team proudly won 1st place at the 17th City-Wide Addis Arts Festival, held under the motto “A Legacy in Arts: Ethiopia’s Triumph.”

Organized by the Addis Ababa City Government Culture and Arts Bureau, the festival took place at Meskel Square from March 14–16, 2026, bringing together talented performers from across the city.

This achievement reflects the team’s dedication, creativity, and passion for the arts. We are incredibly proud to see their hard work recognized on such a meaningful platform.

March 19 – International Client Day

Today we recognize the importance of the people and families who trust organizations to support their needs and growth.

At Addis Guzo, our clients are at the center of our work. Their trust, resilience, and collaboration inspire us every day to continue improving the services we provide — from rehabilitation and mobility support to skills development.

We are grateful to every individual and family who is part of this journey with us.

Strengthening Knowledge on Family Planning and Reproductive Health

Addis Guzo organized a full-day training on February 27/2026 on Family Planning and Reproductive Health for parents who are part of our rehabilitation program. The parents ractively participated in the session, creating space for learning, discussion, and shared experiences.

Our physiotherapists also joined the training, helping strengthen their understanding of these important topics and how they relate to family wellbeing and support systems.

By creating opportunities for learning and open dialogue, we aim to support families with knowledge that contributes to healthier and more informed communities.

Containers set off on their journey to Addis Ababa.

A week ago, our partner organization Rollaid in Switzerland sent two containers carrying over 200 wheelchairs, along with additional mobility aids and spare parts. The containers are currently on route to Addis Ababa.

This shipment strengthens our ability to provide mobility solutions and support greater independence for children and adults in Ethiopia.

Video originally shared by Rollaid — thank you for the continued partnership.

Exploring New Rhythms at Addis Guzo

On January 28, 2026, Addis Guzo’s Contemporary Dance Team took part in a training led by Niki Awandee, choreographer and dancer, diving into a completely new style—Hip Hop. The session introduced our dancers to fresh movements, pushing their creativity beyond contemporary dance.

It was an energizing and inspiring experience that encouraged growth, versatility, and confidence through movement.
