September Champion: PDG Azeb Asrat

PDG Azeb Asrat is one of the pillars of our club. She brings a wealth of leadership experience and is a mother figure to many young Rotarians and Rotaractors.

She currently serves our club as the Director of Governance and Ethics. Her experience and love for Rotary, especially for our club, RCAAW are truly inspiring. She consistently looks after the club’s wellbeing and leadership continuity, and she is always ready to support members of our Rotary family.

PDG Azeb has provided our members with training on governance and ethics. She has also warmly welcomed us into her home, where many of our members had the pleasure of meeting her family and sharing a wonderful time together.

We are grateful for her continued financial support, mentorship, and leadership. We look forward to her ongoing contributions to our club, as always.

Congratulations to our legend, PDG Azeb Asrat!

The real Rotary spirit happens outside of our meetings. What we love about Rotary most is the family & connections you make. Members fellowshipping, young leaders connecting with senior Rotarians, stories being shared, and mentorship happening naturally.

This is what makes Rotary special: diversity, inclusion, friendship, and service across generations. Come sit with us, learn with us, and serve with us. Join Rotary Addis Ababa-West today. 💙💛

A strong start to our Club Training Series! What an amazing evening! 💙💛

We are greatful to have successfully delivered our first Club Training Series #1: Rotary Code of Ethics, Roles & Responsibilities with a great turnout from our members, daughter Rotaract clubs, and potential Rotarian guests. The session covered key foundations of Rotary leadership and service, including why governance and ethics matter, the Object of Rotary, the Four-Way Test, Rotary’s core values, the Code of Conduct, and the roles and responsibilities of club leaders, officers, committee members, and every Rotarian.

A heartfelt thank you to our trainer, PDG Azeb Asrat, Governance & Ethics Chair of RCAAW, for leading such an insightful and timely session. As a club committed to building informed, ethical, and service-driven leaders, this training was an important step in strengthening our club culture and member experience. We loved the questions, curiosity and arguments raised from our members 😊 It was lively and powerful!

Stay tuned for Club Training Series #2 next quarter as we continue learning, growing, and creating lasting impact together.

What an amazing service our Rotaract Club, Rotaract Club Of Fanos, is doing!

In collaboration with Tesfa socials and development association, our daughter club with members of medical professionals has been providing medical services to elderly individuals every 15 days for the past three years.

Each session recaching around 100–200 elderlies, with services , including hypertension and diabetes screening, kidney health assessment, dental and ENT services, eye examinations, and breast cancer screening.

This past weekend during during our monitoring visit, our President Biruk Teshome discussed with the President of the Fanos Club and its members how our club can further support and strengthen these efforts to create an even greater and more sustainable impact in the community as per of our yearly joint project support.

We proud to continue supporting this meaningful work and to see our club remain committed to serving.
