Enhancing Education Quality and Access through Sustainable Infrastructure Development

The next generation of innovators, leaders, and changemakers is already in the classroom. Through the project “Enhancing Education Quality and Access through Sustainable Infrastructure Development in Raaso District, Afder Zone, Somali Region,” Gargar Charity Organization (GCO), in collaboration with the Development Expertise Center (DEC), is working to create safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environments for students.

Building on the knowledge and skills gained through Change The Game Academy (CtG) training on Local Resource Mobilization (LFR), the project applied principles of community participation, local resource mobilization, and self-reliance to address educational needs.

The initiative has supported 174 students with essential school materials and contributed to the renovation of 8 classrooms, improving conditions for teaching and learning. Work is also underway to furnish and equip the school library, creating a space where students can read, study, complete assignments, explore ideas, and build confidence.

By investing in classrooms, learning resources, and libraries today, we are investing in the innovators, leaders, and changemakers of tomorrow.

Action for Betterment with Colloboration Development Expertise Center DEC Ethiopia
Supporting Vulnerable Children to Remain in Nooleeye Primary School

GCO has successfully provided numerous vulnerable children with essential educational supplies such as school bags, exercise books, pens, and pencils. Among these, 77 students from Nooleye Primary School received the necessary materials, enabling them to attend school with dignity and confidence.

The Remaining Challenge
Despite our efforts, many vulnerable children still lack basic school supplies. Specifically, there are still children, including those from Nooleye Primary School, who cannot afford the necessary schooling materials. There is an urgent need for additional support to reach these children and ensure that financial difficulties do not hinder their education and ability to stay in school.

The next generation of innovators, leaders, and changemakers is already in the classroom.

Every student deserves a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment where they can read, study, complete assignments, discover new ideas, and build confidence for the future.

A well equipped library is more than a room filled with books it is a gateway to knowledge, creativity, and opportunity. When students have access to appropriate learning spaces and educational resources, their motivation improves, their confidence grows, and their ability to learn and innovate is strengthened.

Through the Gargar Charity Organization (GCO), in collaboration with the Development Expertise Center (DEC), this initiative is helping create better learning opportunities for students. The project has supported 174 students who could not afford essential school materials, ensuring they have the resources they need to participate fully in their education and succeed.

The initiative has also contributed to the renovation of 8 classrooms, creating more conducive spaces for teaching and learning. In addition, work is underway to complete the furnishing and equipping of the school library, providing students with a dedicated space to read, prepare assignments, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Investing in classrooms and libraries today means investing in the innovators and leaders of tomorrow.

Every girl has the right to grow up healthy, safe, and free from harmful practices. FGM has no health benefits and can cause lifelong physical and emotional harm.

Today, an FGM awareness creation session was held in Jigjiga City to raise awareness, challenge harmful myths, and promote the rights, dignity, and well-being of women and girls.

Join Gargaar Sexual and Reproductive Health Agency in standing together to end FGM and protect the rights of every woman and girl.

Together, we can create communities where girls are safe, empowered, and free to reach their full potential.

Ethiopia's Green Legacy Initiative is a landmark national campaign that aims to plant 800 million seedlings in a single day to restore forests, combat climate change, and promote environmental sustainability. The initiative calls on young people to lead conservation efforts through active participation and volunteerism.

Gargar Charity Organization (GCO), has proudly supported the campaign for the past years by mobilizing volunteers and planting thousands of tree seedlings across communities.
