Compassion Family International (CFI) welcomed the Ethiopian New Year with a community celebration that recognised students’ academic achievements and the contributions of those who support them.

Students who achieved scores above 80 and 90 were recognised with certificates and prizes, celebrating their hard work and progress over the past year. Parents, volunteers and CFI staff were also acknowledged for their commitment and continued support to the students.

The celebration brought together the community through motivational talks, drama, monologues, poetry and choreography, giving students an opportunity to showcase their talents while marking the start of a new year.

The event concluded with the distribution of food items to families and dignity kits to students, combining celebration with practical support for families and children in the community.

Steph passed away just a little bit ago. We at Compassion Family International are deeply saddened by the passing of Stephanie. She was a dedicated supporter, a valued partner, and a dear friend to many of us. Her kindness and generosity touched countless lives. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. May they find comfort and peace in the memories they shared with her.

Students performed the story of Jesus Christ, bringing the message of hope and renewal to life, while songs and messages inspired unity among families.

Like in previous years, Compassion Family International (CFI) joyfully celebrated Christmas with its community at the organization’s compound, bringing together students, parents, staff, and community members in a spirit of unity and hope.

The celebration was marked by vibrant performances prepared and presented by CFI students. These included uplifting songs, well-choreographed dances, heartfelt poetry, and a moving stage play that beautifully narrated the birth of Jesus Christ. Through their performances, the students conveyed powerful messages of faith, encouragement, resilience, and togetherness, reflecting the true meaning of Christmas.

In addition to the performances, words of encouragement and inspiration were shared, reminding participants of the importance of compassion, perseverance, and mutual support, values that lie at the heart of CFI’s mission.

The event concluded with the distribution of food items to CFI students and their parents, ensuring that families could share in the joy of the season. Compassion Family International (CFI) held its annual general assembly, during which the board reviewed both the financial and narrative reports for the year. After discussing key points, the board approved the annual report. CFI’s Executive Director, Adi Dagne, also presented the organization’s plan for the coming year, which the board discussed and provided valuable input on.

On April 12, 2025, Compassion Family International (CFI) hosted a vibrant Easter celebration, bringing together community members for a day of fellowship and support. The event featured songs, poetry, a dramatic reenactment of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, gospel teachings, and an engaging Q&A session.

Adi Dagne, CFI’s Executive Director, expressed gratitude to the attendees and reaffirmed CFI’s commitment to empowering the community in their pursuit of a better future. Emphasizing the importance of education, Adi encouraged students in CFI’s programs to remain dedicated to their studies, as this would enable them to build brighter lives and support their families.

Compassion Family International (CFI) hosted a heartwarming Christmas celebration with its community. The event featured a remarkable play by CFI children, beautifully narrating the story of the birth of Christ, along with an inspiring showcase of talent and creativity.

In addition to the play, the program included motivational words of encouragement and an engaging question-and-answer session. Adi Dagne, CFI Excutive Director, addressing the attendees, expressed gratitude to everyone for their participation and urged CFI students to stay focused on their education and strive for academic excellence.
