Light Ethiopia was honored to host representatives from China Foundation for Rural Development for a Partnership Evaluation Mission focused on the School Feeding Program being implemented in Bahirdar and Jimma.
The mission aimed to assess the progress, effectiveness, and overall impact of the School Feeding Program while strengthening the ongoing partnership and collaboration between CFRD and Light Ethiopia.
During the mission, Light Ethiopia presented detailed updates on program achievements, beneficiary outreach, nutritional support activities, operational performance, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, and the overall contribution of the project toward improving children’s wellbeing and educational participation.
The evaluation discussions highlighted the positive impact of the School Feeding Program in enhancing student attendance, improving concentration in classrooms, reducing school dropout rates, and supporting vulnerable children from disadvantaged communities. Particular attention was also given to community engagement, program accountability, and sustainability measures.
Representatives from CFRD conducted information sharing sessions, reviewed project progress and implementation approaches, and engaged in constructive discussions with the Light Ethiopia management and program teams regarding future cooperation opportunities and program strengthening strategies.
Light Ethiopia sincerely appreciates the continued partnership, trust, and generous support provided by CFRD in advancing child-focused humanitarian and development interventions in Ethiopia.
The Partnership Evaluation Mission concluded with mutual understanding and shared commitment to further strengthen collaboration in promoting quality education, child nutrition, and sustainable community development.

We successfully conducted the Project Inauguration and Output Handover Ceremony for the project in Dessie.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mundo Cooperante, the donor agency, for its generous support and unwavering commitment to improving safe, inclusive, and girl-friendly learning environments.
The project will contribute to improved school sanitation and hygiene facilities, promote dignity and wellbeing for school girls, and strengthen girls’ education through enhanced WASH services and educational support.
Together, we are empowering girls, creating healthier schools, and building brighter futures for communities.
