🎄✨ Life Center Ethiopian Christmas Celebration | A Day of Hope, Joy & Love ✨🎄

Last Saturday, Life Center celebrated Christmas with 80 beautiful children, creating a day filled with laughter, joy, and unforgettable memories. 🌟

The celebration began at Friendship Park, where the children enjoyed games, friendly competitions, and the simple joy of being kids running, playing, and laughing freely. Their smiles truly reflected the light of Christ. 🧒🏽❤️

In the afternoon, we gathered as one family to share a traditional Ethiopian Christmas meal, celebrating fellowship, unity, and God’s faithful provision. We were honored by the presence of our Goodwill Ambassador and deeply touched by the loving Christmas message sent by our Founder & Director, Mrs. Mulu Girmay, reminding every child how valued and loved they are.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our donors and dedicated social workers. Your generosity made it possible for these children to experience the true meaning of Christmas, the love of Christ in action. 🙏

✨ Three Days of Learning, Faith, and Transformation ✨

Life Center Addis Ababa branch successfully conducted a 3-day Basic Business Course training for 35 participants (33 women and 2 men) from Kirkos, Lafto, and Lideta.

Beyond business skills, the training became a space of hope, healing, and inspiration. One of the most touching moments was when a mother of 10 children and another participant shared their powerful testimonies. Their stories moved the entire room to tears as they expressed gratitude to God, our generous donors, and the Life Center social workers whose dedication continues to transform lives.

We thank God for what He is doing and everyone who walks with us in restoring dignity and building a future filled with purpose. 🙏

✨ A Moment That Touched All of Us at Life Center ✨

A month may have passed, but there is one moment from our recent distribution of beds, mattresses, and comfort blankets that continues to stay with us.

As families gathered to receive support, a young OVC boy arrived straight from school, his backpack still on his shoulders. We watched as he lifted a comfort blanket onto his head with the quiet confidence of someone far beyond his years. In that simple moment, he wasn’t just carrying a blanket…
He was carrying hope.

His eyes shone with the anticipation of nights finally free from cold and discomfort. For the first time in a long time, he would sleep on a soft mattress, wrapped in warmth. It reminded us of the Psalmist’s promise: “He gives rest to His beloved.” These mattresses and blankets were not just items they were answered prayers, tangible evidence of God’s provision delivered through compassionate hearts.

What moved us even more was what he did next. Still wearing his school bag, tired but determined, he immediately turned to help his mother. With all the strength his small body could offer, he served without being asked. This young boy reflected exactly what Scripture teaches: “Train up a child in the way he should go.” He carried himself with honor, humility, and a heart ready to serve long before life required it of him.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. At Life Center, we see God’s stories unfolding not only in miracles, but in the small, powerful steps of children who carry hope with quiet strength and unwavering dignity.

Education: A Divine Key to Breaking Poverty 📚✨

Our OVC children are back in school with joy and hope! At Life Center, we believe education is God’s tool for breaking the chains of poverty. 🙏🏽💛

This year, we launched a strong after-school tutoring program held three days a week, led by caring teachers and supported by our dedicated social workers. Together, they help our children grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually. 👩🏽‍🏫👨🏽‍🏫📖

We also provided brand-new school bags to 20 OVC beneficiaries, an answered prayer that filled their hearts with happiness. 🎒😊 After each tutoring session, the children enjoy healthy snacks and moments of fellowship. 🍎🥪💬

We’re already seeing transformation: confidence rising, eagerness to learn, and renewed dreams for the future. 🌟

✨ Empowered by Faith and Determination ✨

Life Center recently held a three-day Basic Business Course (BBC) in Addis Ababa, bringing together 33 women and 1 man from Kirkos, Lafto, and Lideta. The training focused on business skills, psychological support, and spiritual guidance, helping participants transform not just their businesses, but their lives mind, body, and spirit.

One story that moved us deeply is that of a single mother of three. Her husband left when her youngest was just two months old. She worked tirelessly, metalwork by day and selling fried French fries by night, to provide for her children.

After attending the training, she experienced a profound transformation. She gained confidence, mental strength, and a renewed spiritual perspective. Today, she dreams boldly of earning a living driving trucks across the country to provide a better life for her children.

Her story reflects Romans 12:2: “Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.”

We are deeply grateful to Touch of Love International (TOLI) for supporting Life Center’s Microloan Empowerment Program. Your generosity empowers women like her to rise above hardship, embrace their God-given potential, and build brighter futures for their families.

🌿 Rest for the Body, Revival for the Soul 🌿

What a joy to witness love in action.

Through the partnership between Life Center and Maximum Impact Foundation Inc. (USA), 90 families received not just beds and mattresses, but comfort, dignity, and the Word of God.

In the past days, our social workers visited some of the families who received the full package, and what they saw was truly moving. Homes once bare are now filled with warmth, smiles, and praise. Families living in very poor conditions, including some battling HIV/AIDS, shared that this gift has strengthened them physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

As seen in the before and after pictures, the change is real and life-giving, a visible testimony of love and compassion at work.

🌿 Life Center Brings Hope and Comfort to 90 Families in Need 🌿

Yesterday, Life Center became a vessel of God’s love once again, reaching out to 90 families with the gift of beds, mattresses, Holy Bibles, and warm clothing.
What began as an act of kindness turned into a sacred moment filled with healing, hope, and tears of gratitude. 💛

For many, this was their first time ever sleeping on a clean and comfortable bed, a moment that meant the world to them.
As one mother tearfully shared, “I’ve never had a real bed in my life. Tonight, I will sleep in peace.”

Even greater than physical comfort was the gift of God’s Word. 📖
As each Bible was handed out, hearts overflowed. Some wept, others prayed, and many hugged their new Bible close, realizing that the bed brings rest to the body, but the Word of God brings rest to the soul.

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” — Matthew 4:4

The event was led by Mrs. Mulu Girmay, Founder and Director of Life Center, alongside Artist Liyat Seyoum, Goodwill Ambassador, and Life Center’s compassionate social workers, who served with humility and joy.
