Peace Family and Media Association PFMA has been engaged for the last 14 years to support communities to establish and set up community radio stations.

y working with many of the 50 community radio stations which are functioning in Ethiopia at the moment. PFMA has implemented several projects focused on building the capacity of journalists on cross cutting issues such as health, gender, and environment to mainstream media, community media and school mini-media practitioners which have been supported by European Union, UNESCO, DANIDA. Recently, PFMA has successfully implemented a media empowerment project for community radio practitioners aimed at capacity building on COVID-19 reporting which has been supported by International Media Service (IMS), based in Denmark.
