📢General strike proclamation against war.
🔴⚫The Italian Trade Union Union joins the ICL-CIT International Organization. ICL-CIT has launched an appeal for two days of mobilization against militarism and all wars.
✊🏻USI-CIT welcomes the appeal of the international organization it is part of, sharing its concerns about the current global situation and the Italian government's policies that do not oppose wars, when they do not legitimize or even favor them.
📆USI proclaims the general strike on October 30, 2026, for all public and private employees for the entire day.
👎🏻Against: militarism;
the increase in military spending and the production of weapons;
the war economy and the consequent worsening of the conditions of female and male workers;
the export of weapons, both as sales and as free support, particularly in countries involved in conflicts;
the militarization of society.
👍🏻For:
the elimination of military spending;
investment in savings derived from the reduction of military spending in social policies within the framework of disaffection, schools, public housing, and everything that constitutes the social state;
the withdrawal of all military shipments abroad;
the demilitarization of society: no more military personnel in schools and streets.
For the firefighters, the strike will only concern the first shift.
The following sectors are excluded from this proclamation:
Local public transport,
Air transport,
Rail transport,
Maritime transport.
