🌿 Wild Tribe Memories… The Highland Games!🏴

One of our favourite new additions to this year's summer camp was the Highland Games—and they couldn't have been more fun!

The clans took on a series of traditional Celtic-inspired challenges, including the caber toss, tug of war, and the stone throw. There was plenty of teamwork, determination, laughter, and just the right amount of friendly competition.

At one point, it even became guides vs. kids... and yes, the kids won! 💪😂

It was an immersive day full of energy and adventure, balanced perfectly by a peaceful Celtic Heart workshop to finish the afternoon with a moment of calm and connection.

These are the moments we'll remember—playing together, encouraging one another, and celebrating what we can achieve as a team.

🏕️ Raising a Tipi together 🌿

Building this traditional Indigenous Plains-style tipi with our resident tipi expert, Joan, was an unforgettable experience for Wild Tribe kids of all ages.

Working as one team, we raised the poles, tied the structure together, and wrapped it in its canvas cover. Along the way there was plenty of teamwork, problem-solving... and, of course, a few opportunities to test our strength and climbing skills!

Seeing it all come together was very rewarding. In just a short time, we had a beautiful, authentic tipi standing proudly and ready for Camp Night—a space for stories and shared memories.

A huge thank you to Joan for sharing his knowledge and passion with us.🙏

Last week, we wrapped up another unforgettable Wild Tribe Summer Camp. It was an incredible experience, filled with exciting projects, creative workshops, adventures, and games. Now we try to share those memories💫

One of our favourite projects was building our very own boat to sail along the river at La Planta. The design was inspired by an upside-down Inipi sauna, and after many days of planning, building, and everyone lending a hand, we created a beautiful little boat together.

The boat will now stay at La Planta for everyone to enjoy. We hope it inspires many river adventures, its the perfect vessel for a peaceful trip along the river after lunch. 🌿

We are just days away from the start of Wild Tribe Summer Camp 2026 and our team is busy preparing for two unforgettable weeks in the forest.

At Wild Tribe Camp, children develop confidence, resilience, independence, teamwork, and practical outdoor skills while building meaningful connections with nature and each other. The camp is designed for children aged 3–12 and takes place in a Forest School environment where adventure and learning go hand in hand.

🌿 As we close another year of Alzina Forest School, we do so with full hearts and deep gratitude.

Thank you to all the families who are part of this journey, and to everyone who supports us in making it all happen week after week in the forest.

A very special thank you to Laia and Gemma for all their work this year — for generously sharing their time, energy, and experience to bring beautiful music and yoga sessions to the children in the woods. What a gift that has been. 💛

We closed the year with a special celebration: a closing ceremony, a joyful party and feast with families, and even a try at the maypole — reminding us of connection, rhythm, and the invisible threads that keep us all linked together, no matter the season.

We’ll be back in September for the start of the 5th year of Alzina Forest School… and we can’t wait to begin again. 🌳

This week, we delivered a Survival-Themed Family Day packed with hands-on outdoor learning and adventure! 🌿🏕️

Families explored water filtration techniques, built 24-hour emergency shelters, learned essential knot-tying skills, and took part in a sensory game that helped us connect more deeply with the forest and its habitats.

It was fantastic to see families working together, building confidence, and developing practical outdoor skills while enjoying nature. We’re excited to create more opportunities like this that inspire families to get outdoors, learn new skills, and strengthen their connection with the natural world.
