🎮🌍What if games could become more than entertainment, what if they sparked climate action, changed behaviours, and told stories powerful enough to inspire global impact?

Meet our next gamification expert speaker: Jennifer Estaris.

She joins a dynamic group of experts already announced for this workshop: 👉 Lilli Wakinekona Carlsen, Gautam Shah, Nils Bunnefeld, and Dave Sharp

✨ We are thrilled to have Jennifer join the workshop, and she told us:
"I look forward to exploring how play intersects with behaviour change for impact."

Jennifer Estaris is a Filipina American game director, designer, and writer based in London. She directed the award winning Monument Valley 3, as well as Monument Valley 2’s special chapter “The Lost Forest”, which petitioned for forest conservation and was part of the UN’s Play4Forests campaign. She also directed Subway Surfers, one of the most downloaded games in history with more than 4.5 billion downloads.

At the UNEP facilitated Playing for the Planet Alliance, an initiative of more than 50 gaming companies working on sustainability, Jennifer serves on the Advisory Council and as Storytelling Committee Co-Chair. With more than 20 years of experience in the games industry, including roles at ustwo games, SYBO, Nickelodeon, and Disney, she is also recognised as a climate and social impact advocate. Her work demonstrates how games can be tools for creative activism, blending storytelling, innovative gameplay, and sustainability themes to inspire real-world action.

In this workshop, gamification will be explored across multiple dimensions:
🔬 Using games for community science
🌱 Modelling sustainability choices
💻 Designing effective digital tools
📖 Telling powerful stories that spark behaviour change

Jennifer brings a unique perspective to this lineup, showing how creative storytelling and gameplay can inspire environmental action at scale.
