Far from the ocean, but very close to our mission 🌊🫶

This Saturday, co-founder Chicken and Doro are taking on a huge personal challenge: the ALPIN8 Everesting Challenge. Up to 17 climbs each. The same mountain, again and again.

They are using this challenge to rase funds for our Waves of Inclusion events in summer 2026. With Waves of Inclusion, NOMB Changes creates inclusive surf experiences for people with disabilities — moments of access, joy, trust, movement and community in the water 💎✨💫

You can support Chicken and Doro climb by climb:
1 climb = €1
€17 = one full challenge
€34 = both of them together

We're excited to announce a new edition of Waves of Inclusion at Riverwave Ebensee, Austria!

This September, thanks to the initiative of one of our amazing NOMB Changes members, three people who are blind will experience surfing a river wave.

Waves of Inclusion is all about building confidence, strength, and trust—proving that surfing is for everyone. 💙

Este mes de septiembre, gracias a la iniciativa de uno de los increíbles miembros de NOMB Changes, tres personas ciegas vivirán la experiencia de surfear una ola de río.

Waves of Inclusion trata de fortalecer la confianza, la seguridad y el espíritu de equipo, demostrando que el surf es para todas las personas. 💙

The ocean is where we find our energy, it's our playground, our safe haven. It teaches us balance, connection, and respect. And it carries us, in every sense of the word. 💙

But the ocean is so much more than the place we surf. It's the foundation of life for every one of us. Protecting it isn't a responsibility we hold only as surfers — it's one we share as people who call this blue planet home.

When communities come together with a common purpose, real change follows, one small step at a time.

Let's keep all eyes on a healthy ocean today. 🌊

March 8th. International Women's Day.

Not a day for flowers.
A day for change.

International Women's Day has its roots in the labour movement of the early 20th century — fought for by women who wanted more than mere tolerance. Who demanded equality, voice, and dignity.

Even in 2026, it still cannot be taken for granted:
👀 that women can move safely anywhere in the world.
👀 that women can play sport without being judged.
👀 that women of every age are allowed to take up space.

That's exactly why we do what we do.
We create spaces in the water and beyond. For women of all backgrounds, bodies, and life realities. Experience over perfection. Sisterhood over competition. Empowerment that reaches beyond the next wave.

To everyone working every day to make it unnecessary one day. 💜

While it is winter outside, we are looking back and building our new summer 2026 at the same time.🤝

When we look back on last year's impact report, we don't just see numbers.
We see:
🤯 women who tried something new
🫶 stories of inclusion that matter
🚀 moments of 'I don't think I could, but I did'
💜 community that didn't end when the event did

That is why winter is not quiet for us at NOMB Changes. It's where we take everything in and turn it into something even more epic for 2026.

These two goldies met on our Goldies Surf Gang Trip last September.
Since then, they spend some precious times together, while also planing their next surfing adventures as women over 60 years old.

The way they share memories from their first surf trip together all over, melts the NOMB Changer communitys heart.

Human connection is what we hope for. These two are one lovely example how surfing connects.
