Being a single parent is one of the bravest things a person can do. But brave doesn't mean you have to do it alone.

Whether you arrived on the Costa Blanca chasing a fresh start, or whether life simply changed course — the isolation of raising a child or children on your own can quietly become one of the heaviest burdens to carry. The sleepless nights. The impossible admin. The moments when you just need someone to tell you that you're doing a good job.

Guardian Angels was built for exactly those moments.

We are a secular charity based here in the Northern Costa Blanca — in Jávea, Dénia, and the surrounding villages of the Marina Alta. We pair lone mums and dads with a real local mentor: someone who has been through it, understands the challenges of single-parent life in this corner of Spain, and is here to walk alongside you.

On behalf of everyone at Guardian Angels, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in organising such a fantastic evening. Despite the torrential rain, thunderstorms, and even hail, nothing could dampen the incredible community spirit that filled the room! 🌧️⚡💛

A special thank you to Derek Woolley & Ian Bennett for hosting another brilliant Music Quiz, to Victoria Lange, David Reeley, and the entire team for your wonderful hospitality, and to everyone who donated prizes, bought raffle tickets, volunteered their time, and came along to support us.

Sixteen years ago, Guardian Angels began in Marina Alta with a simple belief: that no single parent should have to face it alone.

Since 2010 we have grown into a network of mentors, counsellors and volunteers who give their time freely to support families across the Costa Blanca and beyond. Each parent who has come through our doors has brought their own story. Each one has deserved support.

If you are a single parent who has not yet reached out, this is an open invitation.
