We are a group of passionate and hard-working action-takers who are fighting every single day to end the plastic and waste crisis in Africa

We are a non-profit association that fights to end the crisis of plastic, waste and climate change in Africa. Through our environmental awareness events as well as our beach and street cleanups, we attract the attention of key figures and influencers in waste management and recycling. With them, we develop solutions and alternatives with which to reduce and reuse materials. Each support boosts our cleanup operation in Africa and helps raise awareness of the issue of plastic pollution and climate change on the continent.

An oil boat, drifted. Tarkwa Bay, Lagos. 🛢️

Tarkwa Bay is one of Lagos's most beloved beaches — a short boat ride from the city's chaos. But beneath the surface, the threats are real.

Oil spills. Abandoned vessels. Industrial pollution. The sea that Lagosians love is also one of the most vulnerable coastlines in West Africa.

We document what others overlook. Because if nobody says it, nothing changes. 📢

It was also joyful, loud and full of selfies.

Because if protecting the ocean feels like a burden, nobody stays.
If it feels like community, everybody does.

Today is .

In Makoko, Lagos, a whole community calls the lagoon home.
Houses on stilts. Streets made of water. A city built by the people who needed one.

A home is more than a roof.
It's clean water. Safe waste systems. A future you can plan for.

Makoko was our first event in Africa, back in 2019.
We haven't stopped listening since.

Housing is a right. Not a privilege. 🏠🌊

There are places you can't reach by road. Only by boat. Only by trust.

Makoko is a floating neighborhood in the heart of Lagos — one of the most resilient and misunderstood communities in West Africa. We've been visiting, listening, and building bridges (not the kind made of concrete) for years.

This is what working on the ground looks like. 🌍

🌍 ÁFRICA CREA MÁS QUE MÚSICA

Cuando pensamos en África, ¿qué imágenes aparecen primero en nuestra cabeza?

Durante años nos han contado una parte de la historia.
Pobreza. Conflictos. Migración. Ayuda.

Pero un continente de más de 50 países también piensa, investiga, diseña, emprende, escribe, inventa y transforma.

Y quizá la pregunta no sea qué sabemos sobre África.

Sino qué nos hemos acostumbrado a no mirar.

Este jueves volvemos con 3 Noches para Desaprender para cambiar el punto de vista:

¿Qué pasa cuando dejamos de mirar África como un problema y empezamos a verla como una fuente de conocimiento, creatividad e innovación?

No hace falta saber de África.
No hace falta venir con una opinión formada.

Ven a escuchar, preguntar, conversar y, quizá, salir mirando algunas cosas de otra manera.

Our beach cleanups in Ghana keep growing — more volunteers, more bags, more commitment. This is what a grassroots environmental movement looks like: ordinary people doing extraordinary things, week after week.

You don't need to be in Ghana to be part of this. Every share, every conversation, every act of awareness is a ripple. 🌍
